The Supreme Court recently affirmed this power of the President in Trump v. Hawaii. That is exactly how I see it. I did a search on the author, and the organizations that love his work, and I don’t see a good reason to post this on Free Republic.
I view it as doing their work for them.
We can look at various sides of the issue dispassionately, but this is doing it from their perspective as a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

As a side note, it’s long past time for Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell to “get cracking” on judicial confirmations. And Graham needs to END his decision to allow the ‘RATS to use the Blue Slip process to effectively VETO Trump nominees to District Court judgeships.
REGARDING THE 9TH CIRCUIT:
There are currently TWENTY FOUR District Court Judgeships VACANT in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals’ (CCA) area of responsibility. Plus there are FIVE VACANCIES on the 9th CCA itself.
Until we TIMELY fill judicial vacancies with Trump judges, we can expect this continued judicial activism.

Amen!!! Everything you said is 100% correct. They need to use the remainder of this year to pack the Ninth Circuit. This has gotten out of hand.
But their entry is already barred by current law. Trump issuing an EO to suspend the entry of already prohibited migrants would make no sense.
Congress can't say to admit them over the President's objection, but they can say how they're to be handled when in custody and what rights they have to apply for asylum.
What more, exactly, could Trump do?
Better question is what rulings have they made that are not in their power to make?
Absolutely, and I would include Reagan in that group, but the ship is still sinking and he has the absolute power to stop all immigration and chooses not to. Catch and release continues at pace that is equal to a medium size city every month and then they bring all their extended family in.
