Rep. Andy Biggs: Prosecute Comey for instigating Mueller probe
Fox News ^ | 23 March 2019 | Rep. Andy Biggs

Posted on 03/23/2019 5:55:56 PM PDT by Magnatron

Now that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has been completed, it is time to seek justice. That means fired FBI Director James Comey and others responsible for instigating this farcical investigation for the sole purpose of undermining President Trump must be prosecuted.

In addition, the interests of justice require that the full Mueller report be released with no redactions so that we, the American people, can read it and judge for ourselves.

Failure to prosecute those within our law enforcement apparatus who abused their power for political purposes by launching a baseless investigation that has torn our country apart will only perpetuate the growing cynicism in our institutions and the seemingly unbridgeable division in America.

Comey usurped former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s authority and manipulated the investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of government emails. He improperly prevented Clinton and her cronies from being indicted for crimes that placed America’s security at risk.

Then Comey leaked information dealing with President Trump to a friend with the intent that the information be passed on to the media. Comey hoped that by publication of this material – some of it alleged to be classified – he could manipulate the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the president.

Comey got his wish, but at what price to our nation? If Comey violated the law he must be held accountable.

Now that this hoax has been closed, there MUST be a drumbeat begun to start the real investigation into the treasonous conspiracy that infested the DOJ, the FBI and the CIA. It's time.

Trump needs to take action NOW. We've waited long enough.

I see more and more republicans popping their heads up to demand this.

But I’m guessing the FBI tries to make sure they have damning pictures or files on everyone that they want to shut up.

I hope I’m wrong.

At a minimum he should get 20 years in Leavenworth with no chance of parole.

” If Comey violated the law he must be held accountable.”

Absolutely. What law(s) did he violate?

Yes, it is now time to put the full force of the FBI/DOJ, maybe a special counsel onto that very task to root out corruption and illegal activities at the FBI and DOJ. An IG is useless as we’ve seen as all they do is tell what to fix, no one is held accountable. We need justice, which means rooting out these traitors, prosecuting them, jailing them.

The main reason Arizona was able to pass an Article V resolution was Andy Biggs going to Congress. In his role as Senate leader he prevented passage. Nevada had a similar problem but after the RATs seized power they crushed all previous votes

They should redact the names of people who are innocent. Enough people have been damaged by this crusade. The Democrats will do anything and destroy anyone for power, or for revenge.

Following Comey’s trial and conviction, forget the chair. A short drop and quick stop is what his sentence should be.

Wouldn't be like Freepers to do that, would it? I must say though, it would be an interesting idea though. Comey being best buds with Mueller and all....and didn't Comey say that he leaked classified memos to his buddy Columbia University professor Daniel Richman with the idea that this would hasten along the appointment of a 'special council'? Brings new meaning to "you better watch what you wish for..."

Yes. Impanel a Grand Jury, put serious, diligent and honest prosecutors on the case (or a new special prosecutor), and get to it.

In the simplest form I’d say that the fraud was telling the American people we need to stop “illegal interference in the elections” but then only investigating Trump. That is why Manafort is in prison while his business partner Podesta walks free. We all know that the interference came from the Obama admin agencies, using the federal agencies to spy on, suppress, subvert, and punish the political opposition. I don’t want to live in a country that will allow that. I am willing to deal with the political instability that will come with a complete and thorough investigation ending in all the justified prosecutions they can find.

So, in the interest of fairness, put another SP on with the exact same mandate as Mueller, but tell him to investigate all the other candidates in the 2016 race.

But this won’t go over well and likely won’t happen because Mueller created some really bad precedent when he raided Cohen and Trump’s tax people. That means the big DC law firms who funneled money to British spy Steele are fair game - and if you raided Perkins Coie imagine the treasure trove that will be uncovered not just against Hillary but against scores and scores of DC denizens.

But I say do it. Drain the swamp. What’s fair is fair, and Trump didn’t start this, didn’t ask for it, and didn’t deserve it. But it was so patently abusive from start to finish, from 2016 to 2019, that it has to be done. DC must be roto-rootered of all the corrupt.

Conspiracy and sedition, abuse of power under color of authority, perjury, entrapment and probably a score of other violations. The DOJ/FBI/CIA top people, including people in the Obama WH, were involved in a pretty wide ranging scheme that involved manufacturing evidence, running operations against innocent people, lying to the courts, and using the 3-hop rule to spy on Trump without actually saying that is what they were doing.

They knew Carter Page was an FBI cooperator who helped them capture Russian spies but they lied to the court and said that his relationships with Russians meant that Russians could be infiltrating the Trump team. The scheme they ran against George Popodopoulos was even more elaborate, involving CIA assets and foreign diplomats and an attempt to frame him. All because they wanted to justify their spying and to make it appear Trump was working with Putin.

All lies to anoint the leader they wanted, and then to destroy the person who won when their effort failed. This is sedition.

That is exactly what he said. Basically confessed to one of the crimes of which he exonerated Hillary.

They kept saying that it was an “counter-intelligence operation”. Well, it was some kind of intel operation. But not counter-intel. It was an attempt to influence the will of the voters by tarnishing the opposition candidate and anoint their candidate.

Which is interesting in another way, because Hillary’s disapproval/dislike numbers were always sky high. People just don’t like her. So they needed to do everything they could to make Trump’s numbers crash. They did everything they could, called him every name in the book, a dirty campaign, and all these dirty tricks by the intel agencies.

But when they lost, they took it too far with this Mueller thing. They just couldn’t accept that they lost. That is when they decided on sedition. They must be held to justice.
