Many of the DemonCRAP candidates for president are not attending this year’s AIPAC. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas, Sen. Kamala Harris of California Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, former Maryland congressman, Julian Castro, John Delaney and Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey. The candidates’ decisions to skip the prominent pro-Israel lobbying group’s conference come one day after liberal group MoveOn.org called on all 2020 presidential candidates to steer clear of the event. Follow the money folks.

Israel deserves to be supported by Americans because:

-Israel is the only country in the region that is fit for a rational civilized individual to live in
-it shares the fundamental values of Western civilization including God-given natural rights and freedom
-it supports America and votes the same way that America does more than any other country.
-It is a modern productive nation of economic progress that creates many products that America values
-it does not hate America and does not wish to destroy it or turn it into a mohammedan or mexican hellhole.
-it does not wish to kill Americans
-it is not a terrorist nation

Didn’t they fly those planes into buildings due to our support of Israel and interference in the Middle East in general?

“American founding fathers supported Israel, it was not based on the existence of a modern state. They understood that Israel, ie: Jewish people, and the Land of Israel, were inseparably linked. Long before there was ever an Israel-Arab conflict, and when Moslem Ottomans controlled the Land of Israel, the US’s founding fathers aspired to bless Israel and to restore Jewish sovereignty there.”

Because they believed:

Genesis 12:2-3 “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you,and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

I believe we should be allied with the nation of Israel, but Christians who think we have some religious brotherhood with the Jews are ignorant fools.

It's dangerous to believe that we will receive some reward for defending those who deny God's son.

The promise made to Abraham wasn't about the Jews or the earthly nation of Israel.

Galatians 3 - - 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Israel is 2% Christian. How can a nation where 98% of the people deny Christ be God's chosen nation? The US and Israel have had a good relationship and we have common enemies. That's where it stops.

May America never stop supporting Israel. To do so would be a huge mistake. I know many people don’t believe this, but it is a Biblical imperative & that won’t change.

Yup. Regardless of our support for Israel Islam does what Islam does.

Because they are God’s chosen people.

I have the opportunity to visit the Holy Land next December. I hope I can financially make it.

Yes. I’ll never forget the pics of Obama next to a real man, Bibi. Obama came across as a sissy boy, which he was and remains to this day.

You're probably swimming against the tide here on Free Republic, but I totally agree.

It seems to me that the Christian church is the new Israel and that the promises of God to His people devolved in a spiritual form from the biological children of Abraham to his spiritual seed, Christian believers. If I understand it correctly, that is the official position of the Eastern Orthodox church.

I have seen some pretty good arguments for this interpretation, but it was just a couple of months ago that I came across the verses from Galations that you quoted. What could be clearer?

Interesting; you certainly have a point. On solid Biblical ground as well.

Good post. I'd also point out that Christians around the world have no business reflexively supporting a modern, secular nation of Israel where "gay pride" parades are held every year -- even in Jerusalem itself.

How many of these abominations have been held in radical Islamic countries?

Go figure.

Of all the Presidential hopefuls snubbing AIPAC, the most distressing to me is Spartacus. For many years, I regularly attended the AIPAC annual meeting in Washington. In those days, Spartacus was very friendly with Rabbi Boteach, a strong AIPAC supporter. I remember the two appearing together on the stage and recounting how they met in college (I think it was in the UK). Spartacus made much of his acceptance in the Chabbad House run by the Rabbi, and pledged his unswerving support for Israel. Now, in what can only be characterized as an “anti-Spartacus” moment, Booker has refused to attend the AIPAC meeting. I truly hope other Jews are paying attention to this snub by Spartacus and the others. It is a clear indication of the true feelings of the Democrat Party.

Yes, the only civilized country in the ME. The have taken the desert and made it lush and productive. They contribute positively to science and culture way of out of proportion to their numbers. And they do it all while their hateful neighbors snap at their ankles. What’s not to like?
