Trump Admin to Block Illegal Aliens from Taking Public Housing from Americans
Front Page ^ | April 18, 2019 | Daniel Greenfield

How much are illegal aliens costing Americans? Even the housing cost alone is incredible.

Last month, I revealed that the Trump administration had moved to block illegal alien DACAers from getting taxpayer subsidized mortgages.

Under Obama, FHA rules had been bent so far backward that people who were not only non-citizens, not only non-permanent residents, but weren’t even legally here, were having taxpayers guarantee their mortgages.

The December letter by Senator Menendez, who had recently been on trial for corruption charges, Senator Booker, on whose watch the $100 million poured into Newark public schools dissipated, and Senator Cortez-Mastro, who had been accused of taking dirty money, claimed to be, “appalled that the Trump Administration would exploit a federal government program to deny Dreamers an opportunity of owning their own home.” But it was the Democrats who had exploited a federal government program meant for poor Americans to benefit not only foreigners, but illegal aliens with no right to be here.

Now HUD is moving to block illegal aliens from taking public housing meant for Americans.

I had never been aware of the California illegal interlopers. Wow. An anti-citizen campaign conducted by the GOP that seems to have been under the radar. Would like to hear Bennett justify that.

“We were fighting this travesty in SoCal in the early ‘90s during the Presidency of GHW Bush. The mayor of Costa Mesa was leading the charge.”

Was this the Mayor?

“Jack Kemp ... Bill Bennett ... GW Bush”

None of them put America first.

I wonder if the US Government has stopped advertising about all these benefits in Mexico as I understand they did during the wuns reign.

Yeah, unless you were here and active in the border patriot war you wouldn’t have known how bad it was. Some tried to get Limbaugh to discuss it but he blew them off. Rush was a good little Bush GOPe toadie at the time, enjoying being invited to the White House.

The only justification that Bennett has is that he is a dick possessing low character.

Bennett was the beneficiary of a neocon goon squad that savaged the gentlemanly paleocon scholar M.E. Bradford in the early Reagan years.

Dr. Bradford had been nominated to head the NEH, the Nat’l Endowment for the Humanities. He was supported in this by Russell Kirk, Jesse Helms, James East, Strom Thurmond, Wm Buckley, and many other prominent conservatives.

The neocon cabal, being ever hungry for power and position, wanted the job for Bennett. So they went full throttle in a campaign to slander and vilify Bradford. It was a campaign of personal destruction like what we have seen waged against Trump’s nominees.

Anyway Bennett and the neocon slander artists got their way. But they couldn’t fool everyone forever, and that’s why they are now prominent in the NeverTrump movement.

Peter Buffa... that could be him.

That’s just a few years prior to when the Kemp double cross occurred. It’s been years and I’m not certain of the mayor’s name anymore.

Costa Mesa gov’t has a good record even now of fighting the good fight against heavy odds.

Here in SoCal the national GOPe has been as big an opponent as the Democrat juggernaut. Mexico should award both of them medals.

What are the odds that Bradford could have been confirmed?

What are the odds that appointing him wouldn't have done more damage to Reagan than any positive contribution Bradford could make?

This deserves re-posting.

“We were fighting this travesty in SoCal in the early ‘90s during the Presidency of GHW Bush. The mayor of Costa Mesa was leading the charge.

A neoconservative dimwit who was in charge of HUD flew out here and stomped on Costa Mesa, forcing them to allow illegal aliens to continue to live in taxpayer subsidized housing that should have been reserved for Americans.

That dimwit was Jack Kemp. He and Bill Bennett and GW Bush would fly out here again in 1994, to side with illegal aliens against the voters of California in the fight over Prop 187.

That’s when I knew for certain that the GOP Establishment was as bitter an enemy of grassroots America as any Democrat could be.

When Bob Dole chose Kemp as VP I voted third party. There was no way that I wanted that treasonous SOB to be in line for President. And the same with Make America Mexico Dubya. Any GOP hack that would fight for illegals over Americans had no business being President. He lived down to my low expectations”

In the early years of Reagan the band of South haters hadn’t yet metastasized and didn’t have much of a presence in the GOP. Or in the Democrats for that matter. So without the campaign of character assassination waged by the neocon Trotsky fan club Bradford wouldn’t have had a problem.

“A letter supporting Bradford’s nomination, sent to President Reagan during the controversy, was signed by John East, Jesse Helms, John Tower, Strom Thurmond, Orrin Hatch, Jeremiah Denton, Dan Quayle and James McClure and eight other Republican senators. Gerhart Niemeyer, Russell Kirk, Jeffrey Hart, William Buckley, M. Stanton Evans, Andrew Lytle, Harry Jaffa (”Bradford’s principal intellectual antagonist”), and “dozens of others” were also named as supporters. Norman Podhoretz, Irving Kristol, William Kristol, Michael Joyce and William Simon were among Bennett’s supporters.”

Given some of the things Bradford wrote, his confirmation could well have set off a major reaction against Reagan.

However things might have looked at the time, Reagan was smart not to reopen century-old wounds when we still had the Soviets to worry about.

Take care of our LEGAL elderly, vets & and people who genuinely need help.

I would never expect to burden another country if I could not support myself. Even if they were our worst enemy.....their money is for THEIR people.

Nonsense. Only the South hating neocons were making a stink. Even the Democrats weren’t. And no one was tearing down Battle Flags and Confederate statues in 1980.

That didn’t start until recent years as GOPe opportunists like Nikki Haley began holding hands with Antifa while happily eradicating Politically Incorrect American history. Party on, statue smashers!

Kemp and Bennett called their PAC ‘Empower America’.

It should have been called ‘Empower La Raza’.

It was around that time that B-1 Bob Dornan thought he wanted to be President. 1996.

So Dornan wasted some energy running for the nomination, then reverted to running for his House seat.

But he lost his seat to Loretta Sanchez, in an election marred by voter fraud.

Dornan wanted a recount, but the national GOPe wasn’t enthusiastic. They were already in latino suck-up mode and were willing to sacrifice Dornan to prove their love for La Raza.

Dornan kind of brought this on himself, because until this happened he sounded as brainless as a Bush when it came to cheerleading the displacement of Americans by imports from south of the border.

Nobody was going around attacking Confederate monuments in the Eighties.

But nobody was going around saying that the Confederacy was right.

Or only very few people were, Mel among them.

I get that neos and paleos have some massive feud going on, but Reagan dodged a bullet when he didn't appoint Mel Bradford.
