Napolitano has made plenty of positive comments about the President too.
And I trust dersh as far as I can throw him.
Either way, Trump has sent some brutal tweets to people with whom he was right as the mail with a week later.
Even friends argue.
The Judge has pretty thoroughly flipped on Trump.
Makes me think he was looking to get on the USSC (who wouldn’t, despite his being too old for the pick) — and then flipping once he got there.

10% positive.
90% negative.
The senior judicial analyst ain’t a friend.
Napolitano was squealing for months that Jared Kushner was going to be indicted.
Until he wasn’t.
Nap has said nothing positive about Trump after getting his suspension
Very rarely since he returned from his "suspension" in early 2017. For several months before the suspension, he was rabidly defending Trump and trumpeting the (now pretty well supported) story that the Brits were collaborating with the FBI to spy on Trump. This was the story that earned Nap his time out. I have to wonder if he was hoping to gain Trump's favor, then flipped when his advances were rejected. It would help explain his bizarre turn against Trump. He has literally been closer to Rachael Maddow's positions on many stories than Trump's.
Not in a long time. Something radical happened. The judge always seemed well informed and reasonable. Then he got suspended and he's made a bizarre left turn ever since. He's become totally unwatchable.
And I trust dersh as far as I can throw him.
Like or dislike Dershowitz he's never been coy about his politics. He would never vote for Trump but he does defend him on legal grounds. Napolitano has become blinded by his ideology and lets it lead his legal arguments.
I trust Dershowitz to generally defend civil liberties. The pendulum on these things has swung fast and far. People I once thought were Liberal have since showed their authoritarian colors. There is an opportunity for part of the left and right to come together to push back against the authoritarianism - which exists on both sides but is shockingly on the rise among “liberals”; speech codes, shrugging off justice inequality and reform, quotas for every special interest group you can think of, disdain for rights protected by the Constitution, callous disregard for abuses of power and many other issues one might have a generation ago associated with the American left have been abandoned by them. The American left has gone totally off the rails because imo they stand for nothing, so they fall for everything. They are after power at any cost, for the sake of exercising that power and at the expense of individual liberty.
Please, when was the last time he made a positive comment about Trump?
Clannish people.
“Even friends argue.”
And sometimes kill. I always remember the scene in RIFIFI where, after a heist gone wrong, the main honcho tells a subordinate, “I really liked you, kid. But you know the rules.” Bang!
In another era, I can see Trump saying that. With a twinkle in his eye.
President is seriously right about Napolitano.....
.....Nap doesnt miss a moment to run him down.......constantly!
Its not occasional......its always!
“Napolitano has made plenty of positive comments about the President too...”
You haven’t been paying attention. Napolitano has been noticeably and exclusively negative on Trump since Fox sidelined him in March of 2017. Probably about the time that Trump turned him down
And Dershowitz albeit a liberal is an honorable one that is consistent with his commentary. I would trust Dershowitz one helluva lot more than Napolitano as the one has core beliefs although misguided, the other, none.
Napolitano is the classic example of a person who sold out for a steady paycheck. He does not have the character or gravitas to be on the SCOTUS.
“Napolitano has made plenty of positive comments about the President too.”
Not for a VERY long time, however.
