Deshowitz took exception with this statement in his piece, Dershowitz: Shame on Robert Mueller for exceeding his role. He began by saying that what Mueller said Wednesday is worse than the statement made by then FBI Director James Comey regarding Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign, regarding the recklessness with which she handled classified material. He went beyond the conclusion of his report and gave a political gift to Democrats in Congress who are seeking to institute impeachment proceedings against President Trump, Dershowitz wrote. By implying that President Trump might have committed obstruction of justice, Mueller effectively invited Democrats to institute impeachment proceedings. Obstruction of justice is a high crime and misdemeanor which, under the Constitution, authorizes impeachment and removal of the president.

Where have you been? Graham spent today vouching for Mueller and his police state tactics that resulted in a old man (Manafort) in solitary and a miscarried baby (Mrs. Papadopolous after an all day interrogation by Mueller's FBI goons):

As I originally stated, I appreciate Mr. Mueller and his team for rendering a service to our country by thoroughly investigating the allegations against the Trump campaign regarding Russia collusion.
That’s exactly what I thought today when I heard Mueller - CIVIL WAR.
I finally saw The Hill article: “Case closed.” But Graham did not mention Mueller’s anti-Trump spin in today’s press conference.
I read somewhere; Mueller gave his answers to the democrat House Judiciary
questions today and said he will not answer any questions from republicans.
Vouching? That’s your opinion or interpretation.
I have no problem remembering who my rep is. He's been in office since my senior year in high school. I recently celebrated my 65th birthday.
I'd be in jail...if I did some of this stuff...
Collusion...lying, talking about stopping a POTUS election...by any means????
When..is some one going to jail?
To what did Dershowitz take exception?
Regards,
"If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so, Mueller said during his first press conference since submitting the report to Attorney General William Barr. We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.
My fault for not including that paragraph. I was trying to save space on FR storage devices.
I can almost feel it in by bones.
Mueller's presser today gives Dems what they want without his testimony in their committee.
So you're saying that your headline should have been expanded to read:
Dershowitz took exception to Mueller having said that they would have said so if they had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime with this statement in his piece, Dershowitz: Shame on Robert Mueller for exceeding his role.
I think that your copy-editor might have come up with a clearer, more-concise, FR storage-device-saving headline, e.g.:
Dershowitz takes exception to Mueller's lying, weasely statement
That hits the nail on the head, doesn't it?
Regards,
No. My article excerpt should have included the Mueller statement to which Dersh was referring.

That might be better. But of course we as FR posters are supposed to use the original title if it fits. Although I have been known to add the interjection "Barf" to some articles.
No. My article excerpt should have included [...]
Sorry, don't mean to be a nit-pick! You are right, of course! Thanks for excerpting!
Regards,
I finally got to listen to his whole statement. What an artfully crafted bit of snake venom.
