The decision to relocate the positions is made by the government. The employees then have the option to relocate or take other, often unrelated, jobs in DC provided they are available.
Hahahaha.... who cares what they did in The Swamp, they gotta leave! Buh bye Fairfax, buh bye DC, Kansas City here I come!
DRAIN. THE. SWAMP.
And that will free up some building space for the prosecution of deep state traitors.
Hopefully many other departments will move out of DC.
LOL, I was thinking along those lines. Hey Toto, we’re going back to Kansas.
There are circumstances in which government employees can be fired.
For example, if an agency downsizes, government employees are offered preference in hiring for other government positions. I am not certain how this applies if an agency moves, but I would think the employees would be offered the option of moving or receiving a hiring preference.
Those employees might really like the DC swamp area (I dont know why, though, I cant wait to get out of here). But it makes a lot of sense for the government. The difference in salary between Washington DC and Kansas is huge, about 10%. I think building and facilities costs would be lower, as well. And any employees who move might lose that arrogant swamp creature attitude, which would be a huge benefit.
Ingrates. They should be made aware of the many people in Kansas waiting in line for their cushy government jobs. These people make me sick.
Send them to North Dakota for a couple of months. Kansas will look pretty good, after that.
What ever entity it is in federal gov. that over looks the automotive industry I would like to see relocated to Flint Mich.
No need to fire them, ask if they wish reassignment to another agency, or if they consider early retirement as an option.
If yes to either, then outplace them, or place them outside. The office is moving, with or without them.
This is not, after all, the first move ever to decentralization.
Sounds like their idea of luxury. Put ‘em in a shed near a corn field.
How many 14/15s are rock-ribbed conservatives? One?
I like Kansas City but they WONT.
AhahahahaahaaaohgodicantbreatheahahaAaaaaahaaaaa.
Looks Ike's description has finally after 70 years, going to be addressed. Don't say that the government doesn't “take it's time” fixing known problems! My bet is that both of these “departments” could be totally eliminated and the only thing we'd notice is that the cost of government has gone down a minuscule amount.
Tell me this wasn’t premeditated,planned and organized./s
They could drive on down to the Lakeof the Ozarks.
Plenty of KC folks do every weekend.
They should start looking for another job , Oh wait Dem politicians with hire them for peanuts ,LOL
And next to a pig pen...
Kansas is a nice state to live in. I took a one-year position here a long time ago and have stuck around for almost 20 years. We don't need those pieces of crap here, so it would be best to just fire them.
