I accidentally saw 5 seconds of her on the news before I could flip the channel on TV. Completely self-absorbed, narcissistic attention whore. The me me me me me me movement. Just because you are an athlete doesn’t make you a human being.

She is no hero of any type. In fact, her mouth will have a detrimental effect on the team and the sport IMO.
Looks like she/it should shave several times a week. What a hostile excuse of a human being.

Exactly! I would never watch a soccer game (was forced to go to one, once --- bleh); and, I certainly wouldn't watch any game with this person in it. I find her totally obnoxious.
If they can’t win against 15-year-old boys, why should anyone watch them. I can’t win against 15-year-old boys, either, and nobody would pay to watch me play against other fat, middle-aged men with bad backs, even if my team won the world cup of fat, middle-aged men with bad backs. I think they would studiously avoid watching us play, for obvious reasons. And as a result, our salaries would not be equal to the pay scale of world-class male players, either.
Women’s soccer might be fun to watch, if they were dressed real hot. But that’s not happening. Not PC. They don’t even have a half-time with rockettes doing their stuff. So instead you have inept butch players with purple hair, checking each other out as they play soccer badly overall, but ok for a bunch of girls. Later, after they win their world cup, they get drunk, curse like sailors or third-graders, take your pick, and ruin their own parade. Not interested.
And I like soccer, as sports go.
Three of her six of her six goals were scored on penalty kicks earned by other players; two others were easy scores set up by the hard work of other players, and she had one very lucky goal on a free kick that somehow wasn’t touched by any other player.
I know the game very well. Rapinoe was not in the top 6-9 on the roster. The player that played in her position in the Semi-Final is far better.
