You gotta admit she caps off another great thread!!
Appreciate the kind words of appreciation.
It’s a true honor to be here among so many great Freepers!!
Incidentally, it was quite alarming to hear Trey Gowdy tell Maria Bartiromo that he would gladly “subjugate” (his) rights to stop the shootings.
I do admit and agree that something must be done to address the epidemic of mental illness behind these massacres—and perhaps tighter controls on assault weapons.
However, we must never permit our Constitutional rights and freedoms to be infringed.
Will be interesting, as well, to listen to President Trump’s statement tomorrow morning @10 AM ET.
Ray Charles did "Yesterday"....beautiful.
“Will be interesting, as well, to listen to President Trumps statement tomorrow morning @10 AM ET.”
Yeah, it should be. What will he say? I’m guessing he won’t accept the media narrative that he is in any way responsible. Furthermore, I’m guessing he might announce new initiatives in addressing mental health problems and new crime prevention measures.
After listening to some callers on CSPAN’s Washington Journal today discussing the shootings this weekend, I am reminded how much better off our country would be if God had not been taken out of our public schools. Several callers emphasized this dynamic, stressing how we didn’t have all of this mayhem when children were brought up to revere The All Mighty.
Today, they are adrift and totally devoid of any sense of right and wrong, much less any respect for the sanctity of life. Our nation has lost its moral compass by removing God from education coupled with the atrocity of abortion.
Just think how President Trump could again set the world on fire tomorrow morning by proposing that God be restored to our public school systems, giving young people a semblance of what really matters!!!
I think once we look into all this nothing will come as a surprise. Usually there are all kinds of indications that something was wrong with the perp. They are all crazy but its hard to stop “crazy” there are so many.
In addition the hard left has made sure crazy people have so many “rights” you wont be able to stop them anyway.
What gun?
Look it up. Billy Preston was often called the FIFTH Beatle.
He played keyboards on “Let It Be,” “The White Album” and “Abbey Road.”
He stared in the 1978 Bee Gees movie “Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band”.
