The arrogance of Levin to lecture POTUS on something he knows nothing about. Mocking POTUS about the art of the deal. And why? Because Trump was living in the real world and had to find a REAL solution to defeating the deep state on this issue, not a feel good solution like reading Paul Ryan the riot act.
Trump GOT funding for the border wall because he had a plan that actually worked, not a feel good plan of hauling Paul Ryan into the White House and reading him the riot act, which would have accomplished nothing. Because Levin didn’t understand how little he knows about tactics and getting things done, he criticized Trump for not following his moronic advice. But that’s what you get with a know it all radio host who have never orchestrated a complex deal in his life - feel good solutions that achieve nothing. Trump didn’t follow Mark’s advice and read Paul Ryan the riot act, because that would have achieved nothing. Instead he did something much better. He forced Paul Ryan to resign. Levin should stop giving lame advice to Trump, who knows a lot more than he does, and should try to learn from him instead, because Trump is a hell of a lot smarter than he is.
Thanks for the reply. It’s nice to see there are still some who remember. And I agree that there’s a place for Cruz, but it’s not in the White House. People like Cruz will do the right thing, but only if it’s in their interest to do so. With an honest president like Trump, people like Cruz and McConnell can play a positive role. But in the BT era (Before Trump era) they would have gone with the flow and never would have fought the corruption like Trump has.
Levin was rabidly anti-Trump. He maligned him even after the nomination. He supported Cruz. I questioned that because he touts himself as a “Constitutional Scholar.”
In fact, Cruz was not only born in Canada, his American mother had to give up her American citizenship in order to enroll in the Canada.ca Healthcare system. She was therefore also an illegal alien when they moved back to the USA. Levin should have known that. SMH. Cruz was ineligible to run for POTUS.
I still can’t quite believe Levin’s change of heart. He lost so much support over his Trump screeching that I question if his conversion had more to do with his finances than ardor.
I don’t know if you were here then, but look up Biggirl’s Mark Levin Show threads at that time. Freepers were absolutely outraged by Levin. They canceled their subscriptions, threw out his books and left him in the dust. His tirades were notorious.
YW. I wasn’t going to let them hang you out to dry when I knew all that took place at that time. Freepers were outraged and rightly so.
And just to follow up on my last post. Since you say that you’re not that familiar with Levin’s history with Trump during the election, my attitude towards him may seem extreme. But I can assure you that Mark was extremely nasty towards Trump and those who supported him. He even publicly trashed Free Republic for being pro-Trump and actually came onto the board to trade insults with the pro-Trump supporters here. His userid is holdonnow. You can still find some of his posts. And in spite of what some posters claim, Mark’s criticisms were irrational and personal, not based on judicious, well intended skepticism, which is why I have a hard time forgiving the guy.
MANY on this site left here because of Trump supporters on this site during the election SCREAMING that Trump was a liberal and Cruz was the ONLY conservative!! WELL boy they were ALL wrong and at least Levin ate his big dish of crow and has backed Trump ferociously since!! Cruz would have been a horrible POTUS!!!

That’s great. Good for Mark. The problem is he misused his power in 2016. Fortunately he didn’t have as much power as he thought. And that’s a good thing.
That’s true. Rush was not never trump, although he was far from being pro-Trump like he is now. If I implied otherwise, my bad. Beck definitely was never Trump. My point was that I don’t hold a grudge just because someone didn’t support Trump right off the bat. It depends on the case.
To this day, nobody posts on them anymore. The most recent ones were practically monthly in scope and still empty.
Obviously, many here still listen, but few are motivated to engage anymore. That's a lasting residual effect of 2016.

Levin has moved on and learned since April 2017. I guess you’re having difficulty moving on. Both we and Trump need all the allies we can get. It’s counterproductive to engage in intramural firefights, IMHO

Can you go back to the beginning of this thread and answer who the first one that made a controversial comment concerning Levin was?IOW, who threw the first punch in this particular intramural fight?
Has Levin actually come out and apologized for his conduct prior to the election? He was out of control as far as attacking Trump! Will you come out and apologize for throwing the first verbal punch in this particular thread? I think Levin is brilliant and I’m glad he’s on Trump side right now. But it’ll always be in the back of my mind that somebody who has not sincerely apologized can revert in a heartbeat.
Not only did Levin attack POTUS far after the convention he quite viciously attack Trump’s grassroots supporters. Many times. That was way over the line and he has never apologized for that.

I have friends on TOS. I go there to see how they’re doing.
Believe it or not, some are still swearing that Trump is not Conservative. Sad. Some have seen the light, but they are in the minority. How can they possibly not see all of the good PDJT has done. He is the most Conservative president in my lifetime. Perhaps they just do not want to see it.
I listened to the podcast last night as I do regularly as soon as it is posted. In that debate he was brilliant and masterful in a way I have not seen heard before. He totally owned it and in a non-emotional way. I loved his comment at the end - he said God Bless, as he does almost automatically to many callers. And then caught himself -saying Am I allowed to say that? I laughed, it was like he was wondering if maybe it would offend her. He also said he would conduct more debates like that is more people would come on his show. That is a fact, he is always inviting liberals to come on the show and debate him. Again - brilliant and masterful.
