Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) told a group that he backs a moratorium on all deportations from the U.S., a video surfaced on Saturday revealed.
The socialist senator told a group that, under a Sanders administration, the U.S. would cease ICE raids and deportations.

Don’t tell Kathleen Parker that they are senile or crazy. This very token “conservative” columnist has one this morning extolling how wonderful they all are compared to the odious Trump. This is typical of the establishment Republican politicians and hanger-on, for a nod or an invitation to a liberal cocktail party the Parkers, Kristols, Wills, etc. will sell you and any principles they may have espoused out. This is the attitude that gave aisle-crossing money for the Ted Kennedy Center for the Senate, supposedly a self-funding memorial to a drunk driver who could have cared less about his victim, who have given in or immigration for thirty years, who want constant military intervention using other’s sons and daughters in meaningless foreign wars, and who despise us, the base of the conservative party.
I’m increasingly convinced nobody in that herd wanted to actually run for president. They all want to run for the nomination because running is profitable, but now they’re all trying to out-stupid the others so they won’t actually win. Nominee will have to run against Trump, and none of them want to get Mondaled.
Not in secret any more, what with the “Squad” echoing all of his ideas and then some.
Every time I see those photos I wonder where the heck all those people went to the bathroom.

If you view them from the standpoint of a reasonable, sane person, then that observation holds. But I think the simpler answer is these people are so cloistered with others of like mind that their “center” has been reset to just left of Karl Marx. In their crowd, they really represent the “average.”
Here is a slightly different view from a “left of center” liberal I watch named Tim Pool. (No, I am not Tim Pool.) I like him because he’s the kind of Democrat my dad was. You can argue, disagree and he will still respect you. (I didn’t know there were any left.)

That’s not how Barak did it. He did it by strong-arming the caucuses and locking out Hillary supporters. Of course he was also annointed by the leg-tingling press, but he definitely wasn’t a last-minute shoo-in as you describe.
