Just when you were asking what else could go wrong with the Pittsburgh Pirates season, with the loss of a starting outfielder and #1 starting pitcher to injuries, post-All Star game collapse in the standings, dumpster fire bullpen, guys injuring each other in locker room fights, and historic 47 runs surrendered in 3 days at Wrigley, you have THIS.

Their closer and arguably best player gets hauled away in handcuffs on child solicitation and kiddie porn charges. Lots of scuttlebutt that he was going to be traded to get pieces for a rebuilding effort. But when you're sitting in prison your trade value is zero.

I told my Mrs. they should have traded him by the July 31 traded deadline for two reasons:

I disagree, his "Trade Value" will be rather high and very productive for the cellmate that declares ownership of him and starts pimping him out to the others.

As a fan of MLB, I hope they ban the guy forever. There are certain crimes that the league should not have to give second chances. Sex with a 13 year old girl is certainly one of them (he was 26 at the time). Maybe MLB won’t have to deal with it. He may be too old to play by the time he gets out. He may be facing 10-20 years.

What do you mean go wrong?... the Pirates have the same problem they have had since 1993 and beyond... ownership that doesn’t give a damn....

Until the MLB forces a change on the Pirates, the owners will simply continue to not spend one red cent more for talent then they are obligated to under the profit sharing requirements... and will pocket every single penny beyond that into their own bank accounts.

Honestly, if you live in the Pittsburgh area and go to a Pirate game, you are part of the problem.... That stadium should be empty, totally empty other than for fans of out of town teams wanting to see them play,

You’d think he’d be suspended given how the serious the charges are.

Isn’t it amazing that they can find old evidence on this black ball player, while every white FOB & Hillary, and rich horny guys get to skate? Now that’s what the politically connected call Too Effing Bad.

Additionally, Vazquez allegedly sent the victim text messages suggesting they would meet for sex after his baseball season was over.

Which would be...right about now.

I grew up in the Burgh area and am still a Pirates fan. This year has been a total nightmare - the one consistent bright spot has been Vazquez. Once Collapsening II happened I was hoping they would complete the trade with the Dodgers but alas.....

We all need to remember innocent until proven guilty - but it sure doesn’t sound good. I guess Keone Kela, another head job, is the new closer. Their brightest hope is now to lose out the rest of the season and get a decent draft pick. Next season is pretty much a wash as well - the only top prospect left (K’Bryan Hayes) projects as a middling big leaguer, the pitching staff is reminiscent of the 1980’s and there will be no money to hire decent free agents. And Papa Clint and Uncle Ray will pick and grin through it all.

Les Wexner was a Columbus OH billionaire tightly connected to Epstein.

One day in Columbus, a terrified lawyer lost a footrace to a condomimum front door he’d been pounding on:

He was shot twice in the head, murdered by a man dressed in all black.

The cops all considered the murder connected to Les Wexner but abandoned the investigation, as “certain elements risked being LIBELOUS to Les Wexner”.

Who has EVER heard of the cops stopping a Murder Investigation over similar concerns...?

HERE is the complete report on that murder:
