Mark Levin: If Something Serious Isn’t Done, Iran Will Take This Attack as a First Step
CNS News ^ | September 17, 2019 | Michael Morris

Posted on 09/17/2019 7:42:12 PM PDT by Kazan

On his nationally syndicated radio talk show “The Mark Levin Show” on Monday, host Mark Levin warned that if something serious isn’t done, Iran will take this attack as a first step.

“I will say this, if something isn’t done, something serious and significant isn’t done respecting Iran, they’re going to take this as a first step,” stated Mark Levin. “I’m just telling you. They’re going to take this as a first step. So, we’ll see what happens.”

Mark Levin’s comments came after a Saudi Arabian oil facility was attacked by “cruise missiles and drones,” FOX News reported, that “were launched from Iranian soil,” and after Iran seized control of another oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Below is a transcript, in pertinent part, of Mark Levin’s remarks from his show on Monday:

“The Iranians are not going away.

“So what should the president do? Short of military action – and I’m not saying we should be short of military action, but if we are – what should we do? Should we lift our sanctions? No. There are five areas of waivers that the secretary of state’s office has argued should not be lifted, that is, they shouldn’t be imposed on Iran. Will the secretary of state change his mind now? I hope. There needs to be a lot of pressure on Iran.

“I read an article the other day – I don’t know if it’s right or not – that Iran’s pension funds are about to collapse, including with the military. Isn’t that a good thing? Wouldn’t that be great?

“So why would we give them a $15 billion bridge loan?

“Remember the gentleman who called last week? He had been from Eastern Europe, I believe. No, he was from France, I think – originally, now an American. He said, ‘Do you remember how Khomeini would up in Iran? Because the French government released him.’ The French make very, very stupid foreign policy decisions, which is why they’re a second- and third-tier country. I don’t think we need to be taking advice from Macron, who’s got 27 percent popularity in France, and has no background on anything, no background on anything.

“So the Iranians are pirates on the open sea. They took another oil tanker yesterday.

“If you go on the internet – you won’t read this in many newspapers because the media are the media – you’ll see they’re kidnapping British and Australians and others left and right now.

“This attack on Saudi Arabia should grab your attention because of its accuracy, the devastation and the technology involved.

“And as I told you before, maybe Rand Paul is not aware of this, the fifth fleet is harbored in Bahrain. Should we withdraw? Should we pull back? How about with China? They took over the South China Sea with their fake islands. Should we withdraw, pull back? Should we take our subs off of the Korean peninsula, remove them too? Where should we go? Where should we go? Just keep pulling back and back and back and let these various threats and enemies grow and grow and grow?

“Rand Paul asked a question over the weekend: ‘Why are we in Afghanistan?’ Is this guy an idiot? Does anybody know why we went into Afghanistan? Anybody? Everybody knows why we went into Afghanistan. Because the Taliban gave safe harbor to Al Qaeda and Bin Laden, and if we take all of our troops out of Afghanistan, what do you think is going to happen?

“I mean, how many more times do we have to lose Americans, heroes, blood to go back and fight the same battles, go back and fight over the same territory? It’s— At one point we had over 140,000 troops in Afghanistan. We’re down to 14,000. We have about anywhere from 1,500 to 2,200 special forces in Syria. We have minimal presence in Iraq.

“We’re not an invading army. We’re not going to war with these countries. We’re trying to make sure we’re not attacked – yes, from 7,000 miles away – that we’re not attacked. We’re not colonialists. We’re not conquerors.

“I will say this, if something isn’t done, something serious and significant isn’t done respecting Iran, they’re going to take this as a first step. I’m just telling you. They’re going to take this as a first step. So, we’ll see what happens.

“But right now they’re controlling events – not the world – they’re controlling events.”

This coming from the moron who pushed John Roberts nomination because Senator Rubio's told Mark, John was as solid conservative. This when he was still considered to be one of conservative constitutional experts.

Same little cry baby who made thinly veiled insults at Free Republic when we wouldn't sign up for another phony blowhard Ted Cruz.

Mark Levin what a pantload!

This is the consequence of what happens when the uniparty conducts maintenance wars to further whatever crappy globalist goals they have. We ain't gonna support the use of our power via the weapons of war. Especially when we aren't getting any justice on the coup attempt.

Iran attacks Saudi Arabia just when we become energy independent - so now we need to get involved in another Mideast War. Saudi Arabia are bunch of crooked bastards who are directly and indirectly responsible for 9/11 and lots of other terror. Iran and Saudi Arabia deserve each other those assholes have caused so much damage in other countries - I say let them rip the hell out of each other.

And the costs of our involvement are only borne by us.

You fail to understand logic. Especially with made up stupid stuff like “Iran killed more US citizens than any other country since the 70s.

You are spouting pure idiocy with all you say. You also have nothing to back up your audacious claims.

You are just like the Democratic Underground stupid people.

You are so very ignorant it’s hard to know where to start. Several Saudi citizens were responsible for 2977 total killed as a result of 9/11.

Our immigration policies enabled them to do so.

However, the Country of Saudi Arabia was not responsible. The country of Saudi Arabia is no more responsible for the actions of insane Saudi’s than the USA is responsible for insane mass murderers who are Americans.

Iran, a Country, has been at war with the USA since the 70’s and their responsibility for American Deaths since then is well documented.

Your lack of knowledge, and ability to think things through is quite obvious and quite sad.

Educate yourself please. Until then, you might want to do some research before commenting.

If Iran’s killing of more US citizens than any other country since the 70s is well documented, then you can give us a reference or two as proof.

You won’t be able to do so because it doesn’t exist, little thinker.

You are a bogus, idiotic DUmmie troll.

Head in the sand Isolationism is just as stupid and dangerous as W’s nation building.

It's the new conservative principle du jour.

YES! Who gives a crap? Defend out damned border...every square inch. China's Spratly Islands are not a threat to us. But 800,000 border crossers and 450,000 visa overstayers per year are. So is the massive debts incurred by these ridiculous overseas adventures that have gotten us NOTHING.

SO WHAT? How many Taliban were on the 9/11 aircraft? NONE. But there were 15 Saudis. What did George W. Bush do to punish Saudi Arabia? NOTHING. And whose ass did Bush kiss after 9/11? Musharraf...who helped CREATE the Taliban, and who betrayed us constantly to keep use from finding Bin Laden. We should have gone into Pakistan with troops, not Iraq or Afghanistan, decimate the security services, and taken their nukes. We would have ended Al Queda quickly.

Hey Levin, does "everybody know" why we went into Iraq? Because Georgie got mad that Saddam supposedly wanted to kill Daddy Bush? ANY other reason? NOPE.

Yet Mark Levin (and me, and many of us) supported these stupid, bloody, costly moves by the Bush, and continued in spades by Obama.

Trump wants to reverse the Endless War policies of Bush-Obama. And I support him 100%.

Perhaps with a few exceptions we have not fought a war for the purpose of actually winning it since. Ww2.

We smashed Iraq in GW1, and again in GW2. The difference was that GHWB was smart enough to walk away when he had won.

>Not our oil. Not our oilfield.

Well, under ol' Peanut Brain, it was our embassy. Technically our sovereign soil was invaded, a classic act of war. One of their invaders eventually became their President. He's been retired for years and we still don't have our embassy back. Reagan (promptly!) got our hostages back, but I don't recall whether we ever formally negotiated an end to what was a de facto state of war. Allah knows they verbally declared war on us enough then and continuously ever since.

Now, I'm not saying we should necessarily directly attack them, now, ourselves. But the argument that we have no legit cause to attack them is, technically, false. Even if the idiotic millennials, who can barely remember the Obama years, can't remember it. We should do what strategically makes sense for us. Getting the Saudi's to draft oil subsidized welfare state citizenry out of their hammocks to attack the Shia apostates may make more sense. Draft a bunch of their surplus royals to lead them into battle. Explain to the Euro lefties how all the declining oil production and thus consumption will reduce CO2 and save the climate. When they whine that it will be their consumption which is cut point out how LIFO accounting principles would manage that cut: send back their millions of recently admitted consumers to the warmer climes from whence they'd come, leaving plenty for the real Europeans.

If we did attack them a declaration of war first would make the world take us much more seriously. We should have declared war on 9/12/2001 as a distressingly small number of folks advocated at the time. The counter argument used to block them then was that they couldn't figure out how to fill in the blank for a "Declaration of War against _________." I then, and still do, deem that a gross insult against the... creativity of Congress. Any institution that could write the tax code is more than up to that task!!! Just ask some long time Democrat Ways and Means staffers how to write a tax on the bad guys then substitute 'war' for 'tax.'

In fact, Bush covered up the Saudi involvement by having their involvement redacted from the report.

Oil is a worldwide commodity. Extreme price volatility affects every nation. Every industry. Every family and person on earth. To allow Iran to affect this worldwide commodity without any response is a sign of pathetic weakness and shortsightedness.

Do you have any idea of the MASSIVE volume of arms we have sold to the Saudis?
Can't they read the manuals and use them against Iran themselves?
If Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, that's a different matter.

They don’t have to block the strait, they can just keep sinking ships and watch us threaten them on twitter.

Ah, yes, another pure emotional outburst by another one without a clue. FreeRepublic used to be mostly populated by well informed, educated men and women.

Let me educate you in somewhat of a chronological order.

Note: this is not a comprehensive list. Just a WELL KNOWN List for people who are even somewhat informed.

1)Beirut Lebanon: Marine Barracks bombed by Iranian Proxy group. 241 Marines killed.
2)US Embassy in Beirut Bombed by Iranian Proxy group. 17 killed.
3)Mines placed in the Straits of Hormuz, 10 US Navy sailors killed.
4)Khobar Towers, I ranian backed group Hezbollah bombing. 19 killed. 372 seriously or gravely wounded.
5)USS Cole Bombing. 17 Killed. 39 seriously or gravely wounded
6) Iran aided and abetted 9/11 hijackers. US and World Courts charged Iran with material aid to 9-11 terrorists.

Israel said they warned us about 9/11, in somewhat vague terms. We did nothing, and were attacked. I seriously doubt, if muslims want to attack us, they won’t not be able to find a safe place to do it from, and state sponsors to pay for it.

We smashed Iraq in GW1, and again in GW2. The difference was that GHWB was smart enough to walk away when he had won.

And keeping Arab strongmen like Saddam and Qadaffi in power is FAR better than destabilizing Iraq, emboldening Iran, causing mass chaos in Syria, helping create ISIS which killed half a million people, giving Erdogan way too much power, and unleashing 2 million migrants swarming Europe from both Syria and Africa.

And, going to war in Afghanistan, no doubt, has prevented more American lives from being lost in terrorist attacks. Letting terrorist groups gain strength and have a base of operation to attacks this country and its interests isn't an option.

How did troops in Afghanistan prevent the Boston marathon attack, San Bernadino, Orlando, or Fort Hood?

Who cares if the Taliban protected Bin Laden? We LET HIS SCUMBAGS IN...most overstayed their visas, without consequence. Mohammed Atta himself (and 6 others) were actually STOPPED by police for driving infractions, and LET GO before 9/11 -- some by sanctuary cities like Palm Beach that refuses to check immigration visas for stops, others because we don't have an entry/exit system to detect and red flag expired visa holders.

If something needs to be done, it’s down to the Saudis to do it. How many billions in advanced fighters, tanks, and other weapons systems have they bought from us over the last few decades?

As near as I can tell, they have all the edge they need, quantitatively and qualitatively, over the Iranians. They’re the ones that got hit, they can damn well hit back (or not) as they choose. We need to stay out of it.

For too damn long, the Saudi battle cry has been, “Onward Christian Soldiers!”

To hell with that. Time for those perfumed princes to man up.
