Wondering about, say, California. If there were serious outbreaks of violence by, for example, illegals, antifa etc and Gov Gruesome refused to ask for NG etc. And didn’t knock them down via state cops.
Aren’t Marines in a slightly different category due to being under POTUS direcly in some way?
The history is that they can be directly commanded by the President in order to protect the President and the other executive offices, the cabinet and staff.
I don’t know about directly commanding them to duty within a state without a governors request. I am sure it would have to vbe ab extraordinary circumstance.
If the circumstances were like an invasion of the homeland, or tantamount to that, like a foreign supplied insurrection, I am sure the order would go out despite Governor Gruesome.

Yes, I have no doubt that this is the exact plan of La Raza, Reconquista, Aztlan , and many others movements . We may have to remind them how to be US citizens and deport those who are not.
