I used to like Mark. He was thinker. I didn’t mind his schtick because a radio personality has to develop a persona for fans to enjoy.

His commentaries were decent > IMO.

When I traveled to Washington, D. C. to attend a FRee Republic rally, Mark dropped in to spend some time with us at the pub across from Capital Hill.

He sat there and kind of glared most of the evening.

Look, we all have down days and I didn’t focus on it.

I liked his views on things from then until 2016.

So after appreciating his views for at least a decade and a half, perhaps even two, the man who seemed to ‘get it’ all along, decided it was a great idea to trash vicously the best candidate we could have asked for, to get the things he supposedly backed, done.

That told me he was a fraud. He hadn’t meant anything he had been saying for decades. It was okay to contemplate Hillary winning, at least for most of 2016.

That’s why he lost me.

I decided not to vote for Romney when I saw that video of him ironing his suit when he was wearing it.

I was referring to Romney. But I know what you mean about Levin.

I apologize. I had been talking about Levin. When you responded I naturally thought “Levin”.

I agree with you on Romney. He has no political savvy.

The press uses him, and Mitt doesn’t grasp the damage he does to our cause. All he’s thinking about, is will he be seen as wise.

Ah no Mitt, you’re nowhere near close to wise.

Thanks for the follow up response.

Romney is an asshole, a back stabber. I voted for him for President, because I had no other choice. Next time, I don’t go to the poles or I write myself in. I’ll never waste a vote on such a scum bag again.

Romney is so jealous of Trump he is losing his mind. It must be so hard for Mitt to watch Trump save Michigan from it’s decades of ruin.It was his hope to be the President and revitalize Detroit. He missed his chance so now he has to watch Trump save the Midwest.

Romney and Obama are similar in many ways.
1. Their father’s are a big part of the problem.
2. Sexual and religious identity difficulties.
3. No real friends.
4. Faux worshipping derangement

In fairness, Trump has been a pleasant surprise. Prior to 2015, Trump was big donor to Schumer, Pelosi, Anthony Weiner, even Kamala Harris.

I guess you’ll take it to your grave.

Levin voted for Trump in 2016.

He is relentless in his defense of Trump.

I am thankful for him.

There may be something to that. Some men come away from male image deficits while growing up just fine. Others...

He also donated to Republicans. Some of the folks “on our side” didn’t think that was worth mentioning though.

Look where he lived and operated the core of his businesses. Like it or not, you have to remain connected to conduct business. Knowing the right guy to call, it makes all the difference.

I live in a town where it can take 18 months to get a planed project approved, and then there are still hurdles all the way, and that’s just on a regular private lot.

If you watched his platform, and his lack of backing away from any of it during the campaign, it was a pretty good bet he meant it.

There were also a number of videos over the years where he basically had said things like what were core values in his platform.

This is a guy that had to deal with the mafia on his work sites. It is what it is.

As bad as anyone could have imagined, once it was Trump vs Hillary, there was no choice. Still a number of folks played hardball talking down Trump even after the choices were clear.

After Levin had viciously attacked Trump up until near September 10th, he then said he’d vote for him.

All year up until then he had trashed Trump on issue after issue after issue, going into great detail how terrible he would be.

Did he take all that back? Did he make up for it some way. Did he express how wrong he had been?

No.

So he slinked off and voted for Trump on the day.

How many of his die-hard “never-Trumper” fans had been so convinced by him at that point that Trump was the end of the nation, that they simply couldn’t for Trump themselves?

We’ll never know.

Levin had spend at least two decades telling us what his core beliefs were, and then spent months letting his field of influence think it was no difference if Hillary or Trump were elected.

That destroyed his credibility to me. It said, nah, I didn’t really mean what I advocated for over the last two decades. Hillary is no worse than Trump.

Now he’s the darling of folk who think personality trumps being loyal to the cause.

Mark was right. He could pull ever trick in the book trying to deep six Trump in favor of Hillary, and his fans would just ignore it.

Levin voting for Trump.

Levin listed his critiques of Trump one by one. From his behavioral antics during the GOP primary to his lack of understanding when it comes to the Constitution and limited government, from his massive spending increase for infrastructure to his protectionist trade policies, and more.

It wasn’t all bad for Trump, however, as Levin later spoke positively about his tax plan, his positions on immigration, law enforcement, and foreign policy. Levin did offer a common and recurring disclaimer: Trump is NOT reliable.

SINCE then, SINCE:

100% Advocate for Trump.

Your allowed to despise Mark Levin all you want. The record for the here and NOW, and for 2020, is Levin will fight for Trump.

Yes, that was on September the 6th, 63 days before the election. He did say he would vote for Trump. He didn’t say he had been wrong all year and Trump was a good fellow after all.

He also touched on the fact he wouldn’t be responsible for anything Trump did, inferring even as he said he’d vote for Trump, that he was certain there would be major down-side.

Sadly also, for 248 days prior to that, he had been singling Trump out on specific issues and trashing him viciously in great detail.

After saying he’d vote for him, did he say all those character assassination sessions were wrong? Did he list the issues he had trashed Trump on, and say, “I was wrong.”? No. He let those sessions stand, unredacted.

As I keep saying/asking, we’ll never know how many of Mark’s listeners had been convinced Trump was so bad by Mark Himself that year, that they simply couldn’t reverse direction and vote for Trump.

Being able to say, “Yeah, and I voted for him.”, isn’t exactly a shining example of your character when you had already done everything you cold to destroy the man’s chances of getting a vote for 248 days.
