Mexico is at War; America Needs A Wall
Human Events ^ | October 25, 2019 | Steve Cortes

Hispanic Americans did not come to this great land to replicate the conditions of Latin America—particularly the violence and corruption that plague our former homelands. Recent intense violence in Mexico serves as an ominous reminder of the dangers that lurk nearby and the necessity of gaining operational control of our border. This upheaval also presents an opportunity for President Trump to remind the electorate why his election was so vital: for decades, American elites have willingly surrendered our national sovereignty and jeopardized the national and economic security of our country.

Two events last week encapsulated the systemic violence that has embroiled our southern neighbor in recent years. First, thirteen Mexican policeman were killed in a brutal roadside ambush in Michoacán when dozens of gunmen, using high-caliber weapons, attacked from “presumably armored” vehicles. The brazen gangsters even left posters on the charred police cars signed with the initials of their Jalisco cartel.

Then, last Thursday, an all-out street battle erupted in the upscale neighborhood of Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa state. Government forces briefly captured two sons of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the drug kingpin now imprisoned in the United States.

Nuke them from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Destrozarlos desde la órbita. Es la única forma de estar seguro.

My argument is that President Trump should revise the concept of Lend-Lease established by President Roosevelt.

He should lease Mexico a fleet of missile armed drones to be used to destroy cartel headquarters and facilities where ever found and whomever is present. He can lend the services of US Army drone operators in Nevada to sit beside Mexican Army enlistees sent TAD to Nevada to actually conduct the destructive operations.

When a neighbor’s house is on fire, certainly it is your obligation to lend your hose

The Mexican Army can’t even defeat the cartels in combat.

First, thirteen Mexican policeman were killed in a brutal roadside ambush..

GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN!!!

I had NO IDEA it was that bad!!

It IS a war.

Lord knows how many corrupt Mexico officials there are.

It took Sicily a lot of soul searching to finally take a LOT of the old power from the mafia.

Mexico better start the search too.

And you’re right their ARMY can’t defeat them!!

That would be like saying 2000 marines couldn’t defeat MS13 or the Bloods.

THAT would be a massacre.

more Hispanics need to speak up for the wall. If there is no border, what is the point of coming to America? If it’s all one drug infested hellhole run by cartels.

Imho there are four factions that are mexico. Police, military, cartels and the majority of politicians are corrupt. Their objective is to increase drug trafficking, human trafficking and money laundering into the highest levels of police, military, and politicians in the United States. Their goals to do such have been highly successful. The corrupt have money to spread around and money talks ..... there is probably little that can be done except as one prior FReeper has already stated ..... regrettably

Nuke them from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure. ..................................... Line Backer would work also, you get a bigger spread. A couple of trips would do the trick. Find them and let them see what its like walking on the moon.

.………..I just loved the seventies and eighties Mexico. Some years we went down there 6 or 7 times a year. It was peaceful, layed back and cheap and fun. Now, it’s a hell on earth with FEAR in the air.

Bring the troops home from the Middle East and Europe. I think we are going to need them here soon. I’d rather see nation-building done in Mexico than the Eastern Hemisphere.

“He should lease Mexico a fleet of missile armed drones...”

I dunno. You think the Mexican govt. can be trusted?

We need to somehow help the govt militarily. We have an interest in Mexico to over power the cartels. I had no idea how powerfully armed the cartels are.

The Mexican Army was not involved in the latest shoot out - it was the Mexican police. The real Mexican Army so ordered would have made short work of the homemade armored vehicles. The Army will not be used as Obrador is a peacenick and will not fight; the Army is likely also corrupt and not reliable.

Yes

I stipulated the control would be by Mexican enlistees sitting beside US Army regulars at the control site in Nevada

I’ve known some retirees that would spend the winter months
down there and return stateside for the summer months

I agree! We went there as a family a couple of times- with a two year old! The shopping and food were great and the people you encountered were all smiles and full of goodness.

Then the poor figured out that they were bribed by the police and politicians so they got in that also. Drugs became a prime export and neighbors were paid by the drug farms to guard against on-lookers. A local hunter went down to help count deer using his plane and never has been seen again- man and plane. A SUV of us drove down from San Diego one day and got on a beautiful rugged dirt mountain road. A man flagged us down and told us NOT to go more down that road or we’d run into armed guards. We turned around and then found another viewpoint and saw a valley of warehouses and green crops!! We got back to the USA in a shake!!
Friends who love Mexico (and it is pretty on the coast) had two homes in Puerto Vallarta. When they sold the last one to move to the USA, the bribes by the local govt. were huge even though they sold to other Americans! Finally, their liberal minds got their pocketbook stolen and saw the light!

Hubby and I will not go to Mexico and give them one peso!!

Sad, but that is what causes a downfall and it’s here in TX. also. The poor are blind to benefits and government perks and don’t know that they are the ones that get hit the worst...unless they leave to another decent God-fearing country....oh, wait...!!!
