A BILLION dollar crop in 459 acres? That’s less than a square mile. Wow.
For comparison, the entire California citrus industry is $1.1 billion and requires 147,000 acres.
When you tax it too much, the black market can still compete.
CO has collected over a billion dollars in tax revenue since legalization.
Once large scale outdoor growing is allowed, the CA central valley will dominate the market.
It will produce more, for less, than anywhere else in the world.
Tell that to the family of the El Dorado County sheriff who was killed by an illegal alien marijuana grower last week.

you wouldn’t say that if there were over 200 illegal grows in your area, stepping outside your home meant a contact high and/or an asthma attack, you have 30x80 greenhouse tunnel lights shining in your bedroom, and living room, and kitchen, all night long, your livestock are disturbed by traffic at all hours, you have to start locking down all your outside equipment and your risk of home burglary and theft of livestock is quadrupled, you have to adjust when you take showers or run the dishwasher or washing machine because of growers filling 5Kgal tanks, and you don’t dare complain because the cartels own the production and the sheriffs pretend they don’t see anything. So, yeah, some people care what people grow where.

Same thing happened during Prohibition in Chicago and New York and New Jersey... and California. Same thing happens now in Mexico. One would have to be totally naive to think it doesn’t happen now, with weed and every other drug.
You can grow six plants for yourself in CO all year around. You have to grow indoors anyway. 90 days is average to harvest and then you can grow six more. You can have 12 starters not in flower so no waiting until the end of the 90 days to get the next crop going.
