Read the entire article. It isn’t that simple. The governments are barely following the law and it is very clear their goal is to seize and sell as much property as possible.
In most places (for the time being anyway) when property is seized and auctioned for back taxes, the property owner is given the excess after taxes and costs. The fact that the governments in Michigan are allowed to keep ALL the revenue is essentially proof that this is nothing more than legalized theft. Taxes are an excuse to steal property.

In plainer terms, it's nice to have armed agents who will kill anyone who gets in their way and suffer no consequences whatsoever.
He would have been notified repeatedly before the House went to sheriff sale... I’m having a hard time believing this article at face value
