Kind of a trick title....wish they’d of called it Report of LACK of Evidence ....
I quickly scrolled through (will read, later) and liked the last paragraph....
The unfortunate collateral damage of the Democrats impeachment inquiry is the harm done to bilateral U.S.-Ukraine relations, the fulfillment of Russian President Vladimir Putins desire to sow discord within the United States, and the opportunity costs to the American people. In the time that Democrats spent investigating the President, Democrats could have passed legislation to implement the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, lower the costs of prescription drugs, or secure our southern border. Instead, the Democrats obsession with impeaching President Trump has paralyzed their already-thin legislative agenda. Less than a year before the 2020 election and Democrats in the House still cannot move on from the results of the last election.
So after you mentioning several times that people weren't reading the article :), I thought, what the heck, I'll go break the FReeper rule and go ahead and read it.
It was wonderful! So glad to see our representatives supporting what is right.
“Trump will wear this ‘Impeached President’ label like a piece of jewelry.”
He should have Tiffany craft him a lapel pin:
‘I Beat Hillary Fair and Square and All I Got Was Impeached!’
LOL! Love. It.
Ping
There are none.
In fact, the vote to give Schiff the impeachment inquiry hearings authority to begin with had NO Republican support.
After proving nothing but democrat unfairness in the whole process, I cannot see any Republicans getting on board at this point.
Appears they wimped out on naming the whistleblower.
We need a ticker that shows how much tax $$$$ every second is being wasted on this impeachment scam! Something like the deficit counter.
That gives you an idea of how it is like living in my district. God save the Republic!!! {not our democracy}
Well, I wasn’t able to read the entire thing - it’s 123 pages! - But I read enough to believe that it’s a Good Thing.
I just hope that more of our ‘representatives’ will support what is Right, Constitutional, and Legal - instead of just looking over their shoulders and considering where their bread and butter are coming from.
(Maybe what we really need is a new and powerful Third Party...)
I read this Republican report as well. Good report but the democrats will not read it or care what is in it.
Yeah, I just read the cover pages. I quit when I got to the Table of Contents :) I got the gist.
Course if there’s anything cool further down, share!
Misleading headline!
Bump
Whoa!!!
That change made to the FISA Court is downright scary!
And explains everything that is now happening.
It was the Zero’s “insurance policy”!
Hannity will come out gun blazin
The article discusses an introduction to the PDF version of the document which is about 1:20 pages long of single spaced type. That’s too long to not have a summary.
At 500 words per page (single spaced) times 120 pages the word count is around 60,000.
That’s a lot to read comprehend analyze and discuss.
15 to 25 bullet point, one pager would be nice.
“The House does make its own rules and can impeach any way they want. The SC would never ever intervene in a House procedure.”
Then what is the point of the Chief Justice presiding over the trial? Is he just a potted plant with no function at all?
You’re right.
“Appears they wimped out on naming the whistleblower”.
That’s one of many reasons they don’t want a senate trial. A trial in the senate would, among other things, reveal who the whistleblower is. There would be tons of discovery and they are scared to death of that.
Yes, Trump and everyone (except the Democrats, Deep Staters, and Never Trumpers) should cheer a trial as it would include DISCOVERY. Witness list: Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff, Obama, Yates, Mueller’s gang, and so many... every one of Obama’s political appointees should be brought in.
