A House Republican is pressing Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to subpoena the call records of top Democrats and a whistleblower lawyer, signaling a new GOP line of defense amid the impeachment inquiry examining President Trump’s ties to Ukraine.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), one of Trump’s House allies, asked Graham in a letter Wednesday to subpoena AT&T for the call records of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, as well as the attorney for Ukraine whistleblower, Mark Zaid.
“Chairman, I urge you to utilize your subpoena power as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and obtain call records for the following individuals: Rep. Adam Schiff, The whistleblower’s lawyer Mark Zaid, Former Vice President Joe Biden, and Hunter Biden,” Banks wrote to Graham.
“This quixotic impeachment inquiry must be shelved, Mr. Chairman. And Rep. Adam Schiff should be held to the same standard to which he holds others. It is time to see his phone records,” he continued.
Banks framed his request as an act of transparency, arguing that the public should know with whom Schiff worked to coordinate Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

It sounds great. But someone like Schiff probably made a lot of his calls on burner phones.
And Graham will say “Ya know I would like to, but I dont think its the right thing to do” just watch, that is what he will say
Im interested in seeing texts, etc between Schiff and Ed Buck and Dr Bruce Hensel, who was recently arrested for soliciting a 9 year old girl for sex..Schiff and Hensel are good friends..and according to Hensel’s neighbor, he would frequently take trips to Thailand, gee I wonder why..wonder if Schiff went too
Courts will quickly and decisively rule it is an illegal invasion of privacy and unconstitutional to do that./S
Good point.......Taxpayers demand to see all correspondence, emails, snail mails, hard drives,

Lindsey has his post-Trump-removal position locked in, he isn’t going to do anything to jeopardize that!
He’ll add that Schiff and Biden are his “good friends”, and he doesn’t want to upset their friendship.
Maybe if you and others here stopped calling him Linda he’d improve. You’re going at this the wrong way. Graham has been one of Trump’s firmest allies in this, don’t dissuade him.
I see him on Hannitus Interruptus all the time. He is always talking tough about what he is going to do .....next week.

LOL. That’s a breathtaking statement given Graham hasn’t done a single thing of substance to support POTUS against the ongoing coup. In fact he enabled the coup by among other things publicly threatened POTUS not to fire Sessions. Beltway lifers don’t change their spots. Ever. Sorry.
