Retired Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher met President Trump at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend to thank him for taking up his controversial case.

Photos show Gallagher, 40, and his wife Andrea chatting with Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the president’s swanky Palm Beach resort.

“Finally got to thank the President and his amazing wife by giving them a little gift from Eddie’s deployment to Mosul,” Gallagher and his wife Andrea captioned the images, posted Saturday on a joint Instagram account.

I watch Seal Team too. It’s an excellent show. Grew up watching Audie Murphy movies. The “To Hell and Back” film was based on his war memoir. I read that he had terrible nightmares and slept with a pistol under his pillow. Here he survived the war, and then gets killed in a plane crash at the age of 45. Between Audie Murphy and John Wayne movies, I think that’s what motivated my brother to enlist in the Army. Growing up, all he ever wanted to do was be a soldier. He was in Vietnam ‘66-67’. Died at the young age of 51.

What makes the charge even more questionable is that he was not the only one posing with the body. The photo came up around here a while back, and I remember counting several people in the shot. Can’t remember the numbers anymore, but I think Gallagher was in a group of 7-10 posing for the shot.
