Rods from God (yeah, we really have these). See https://www.wearethemighty.com/articles/these-air-force-rods-from-god-could-hit-with-the-force-of-a-nuclear-weapon Also search for Project Thor. BTW, this is OLD tech for us.

Two rockets. That is 1/300th of what Israel gets.

Off the coast of Lebanon, the good guys could track an incoming round to find exactly where it was fired on, then put a round in that exact place. I assume the technology is still there.

I don't think it will be one event. It will be a series of acts, spread out geographically, with the recruiting of other actors. Their problem is going to be cashflow and determining what is the most dangerous action they can take without taking hits themselves.

I maintain the most dangerous action that is adverse to US interests is to invite the Chinese into the Persian Gulf with unlimited basing rights-- and more robust intelligence platforms. Iran must put a superpower between them and us. China is their biggest trading partner. They will give them a Djibouti-like deal, but on a much, much larger scale. Basing in Syria is also in play with Ferret face as an ally.

OK. Take out one Iranian oil refinery for every rocket that lands in the Green Zone.
