If the President did no wrong on that call and other actions, we should not be afraid of anyone who testifies because they would be lying (again, if call was perfect) and we could rip them to shreds then get THEM on perjury. To get all hot and bothered about Bolton going under the oath actually comes off to the average person (just just narrow FR-dom) as some kind of guilty concern and trying to hide something. Clear everything up. Let anyone testify and the truth will sort it out. Nothing to hide. Open the process. Truth will stand on its own.
Bolton might lie. He made this announcement one day after Trump said he is not interested in regime change for Iran. Pence wants regime change and so does Bolton.

Any Senate Republican that betrays Trump and his supporters, to curry favor with Democrats and the urban media, will never win another election. The wishy washy malcontents in the Republican party better start backing Trump, or join another party.
Never forget in the 1st Republican debate in 2016, every candidate but Trump said he’d back the party nominee. Then Jeb Bush and Kasich decided to skip the convention, after Trump “boat raced” them in the primaries. Other prominent no shows were George W Bush, George HW Bush, Romney, Mcain, and Lindsey Graham.
Two votes I’ll never regret, are voting Libertarian in the general election in 2008 & 2012. Romney and McCain were terrible candidates, who deserve nothing but contempt for the “gutless” campaigns they ran.

They don’t get a do over in the Senate. They can name their managers and show up ready for trial or see their case tossed.
