One has to question the wisdom of running commercial air traffic on a night where your entire country is bracing for a massive air attack. This makes me sick to my stomach and angry that nobody thought this might be a bad idea. It is likely that some poor moron thought they were under attack near a commercial airport.
Based on the video the plane is clearly on fire and breaking apart as it descends.
Those poor souls.

Oh yeah.....it was shot from an erratic US ballistic missile fired from one of the Iraqi military bases. Same type of incident, only this time it's the Iranians who shot down a civilian airliner.
