We (the public) don’t have much information to base any decision on, and what information we do have can be untrue.
We can assume that Xi Jinping is getting more information (and perhaps more accurate) and he decides to issue a warning, then we should take him serious.
We will not get the true numbers out of China.
However, the virus has already been carried around the world.
If the death toll around the world begins to rise it will not be kept a secret for long. Either way we will know more in about two weeks.
That’s one hell of a wall/gate. We should hire the ChiComs to build something like that on the Mexico border.
The China government is aerial spraying disinfectant over infected cities.
So is the story that China developed this and it got out by accident and now they are paying the price, along with the rest of us because of this stupidity.
Your attitude is too cavalier, we don’t know enough yet to make that assumption.
You aren’t going to get concrete facts. This is Commie China.
Look at their reaction and think about that really hard.

Beijing News are reporting that tomorrow, all inter-provincial (interstate) road passenger transport into/from Beijing will be shut down indefinitely “to prevent and control the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic”.
Just think how reluctant the Soviets were when Chernobyl happened to release information, it took other countries noticing the elevated levels of radiation before the Russians announced it to the world.

I can see some lefties all giddy about this, because they think it will wreck the economy, and with it, Trump’s re-election chances.
Never let a crisis go to waste.
Mechanical ventilation hopefully will help lower the mortality rate if it hits the west. However if the virus is causing organ failure or sepsis than nothing can really prevent a high mortality rate.
