You are kidding, right? Libya is such a shining example.

West Berlin. Lockerbie. IRA. No statute of limitations on murder.

You can’t apply such judicial standards to international politics. It won’t end well for any US president.

I agree. That’s why Gaddafi was never tried in an American courtroom. Ditto for bin Laden. And Soleimani.

If you think for a second that anything the Syrian government did had anything at all to do with why the war started, you’re stuck in Bizarro-World.
We all know why the war in Syria started - Hillary’s unbounded greed and bloodlust. It’s not like she wasn’t running an exact copy of what she did to Libya!

Oh, geez.
What kind of brainwash victim ARE you?
This is 2020, not 2002. If you still believe that nonsense today you are mentally defective and nothing less.

That you like the Syrian regime more than you like Americans and Israelis is fine and dandy. It’s a free country. It would be nice, though, if you’d make it clear the way NorseViking does, instead of leaving it as the subtext that dares not show its face. Your Christian Arab co-ethnic Justin Amash shares your sentiments, but he doesn’t mince words about it.

Hillary is the typical pol - gloryhound to the max. But she was responsible for neither Syria nor Libya, although she was quick to claim credit for Gaddafi’s death. Not a single bullet flew without Obama giving his say-so. It’s just that policymakers have long memories. Beneath the bland and neutral sounding words issued by diplomats is an implacable beast that will avenge dead Americans, provided the cost to America is acceptable. Gaddafi and Abu Abbas (Klinghoffer’s killer, sheltered by Saddam) learned that to their cost. There’s no real system to it, because opportunities arise due to random internal and external developments and the time window is short.
Syria and Libya were done for the same reason as Iraq, Bosnia, Panama, Grenada, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, Korea, WWII, WWI, etc, etc. Wars that advanced American interests and helped its allies at the expense of its enemies.

The war in Libya is literally known as “Hillary’s War” and it’s well-known that it would not have happened but for her relentlessly pushing it.
Whatever you think you know about Libya and Syria is simply wrong and your best move is to study what actually happened in these places before trying to tell others what happened.

This is simple slander, a particularly offensive one when aimed at an American Jew.
I question your loyalty to the United States. Your post record gives much reason to believe your true loyalty is to the PRC.

I bet I knew more about both countries 30 years ago than you do today.

Your kind of antisemitic comments have always been unwelcome in the 20+ years I’ve been here.
You are beneath contempt.

Your love of anti-semitic Arab dictatorships that have repeatedly waged both large-scale war and terrorist attacks against Israel and Jews alike belies your claim to be a Jew, unless it’s as the most nominal of Jews. Like George Soros and Noam Chomsky.

If you’ve nothing to offer but slander you definitely don’t belong here.
That you so naturally resort to it proves every suspicion everyone here has about you.

I’m surprised that you consider my citing your repeated defenses of anti-semitic Arab regimes that have killed thousands of Israelis and Jews, either via direct war-making or by funding, supplying, sheltering and training terrorists, to be slander. I don’t have a problem with ethnic solidarity. John Derbyshire, former NRO stalwart cast out for apostasy re black criminality, says it’s completely human to feel the ties of ethnicity, religion and nationality from the old country. But, if you’re Jewish, for you to defend Gaddafi and Assad - blood enemies of the Jewish people - isn’t just an atypical human response. You’ve basically decided that Jews are not* your people. In other words, like Noam Chomsky and George Soros.
* Nothing wrong with that, by the way. Religious and ethnic identification have changed with border shifts pretty much since the first member of a defeated nation bent the knee rather than lose his head. But for you to call yourself a Jew while defending enemies of the Jewish people - there’s more than a little cognitive dissonance involved here.
Maybe you are a Jew. But you sound more like a Christian Arab. Heck - I’ve met plenty of Christian Arabs who are more pro-Jewish than you are. Of course, they are American Evangelicals rather than the traditionally anti-semitic Catholics and Orthodox believers of the Middle East.
