Hmm. Bergen is not exactly one of the more conservative areas of NJ, IIRC from when I lived in the state, but I lived a good hour away.

These school systems cant agree on a curriculum. Every year they spend millions on a new curriculum and all the teacher training. I think a paid choice would be a welcome change.

Bergen County still has “Blue Laws” - retailers closed on Sundays. Conservative by NJ standards; a lot of taxes paid there, and no really dangerous urban dumps (like Newark or Jersey City).
