Trump commuted the remainder of Blagojevich’s 14-year prison term. the Illinois Democrat had begun serving that sentence in 2013 after he was found guilty of attempting to trade the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama for money or favors.

The president announced that he had issued pardons to Kerik and DeBartolo.

Kerik, who oversaw the NYPD during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, pleaded guilty in 2009 to charges of felony tax fraud and lying to the government. He was released from federal prison in 2013.

Pardon and commuting for people who actually did things. Meanwhile, Flynn and stone were framed because of their association with Trump

I strongly disapprove with Gov. Blagojevich and ex-NY police commissioner Kerik. Corruption in office and vote fraud fully merit long prison sentences. Lock them back up, and throw Hillary and Biden behind bars too.

Kerik served his sentence already. He was released in 2013.

Good on all counts. Trump places a high priority on fairness, and has been studying the Blago situation since last summer.

Considering how McCabe and Comey have gotten away with trying to over throw the Presidency I’m ok with release any prisoners jailed for lying to Congress and or the FBI.

Blogo is closing in on 7 years of prison time.

That’s nothing to sneeze at.

I suspect he got the point.

I was leery when Blago was on Trump’s Apprentice (AFTER the scandal).

And not impressed. This guy was vacuous.

Blago was very entertaining, not unlike James Traficant.

Today’s ‘Rats tend to be less entertaining then in the days of yore.

"I strongly disapprove with Gov. Blagojevich and ex-NY police commissioner Kerik."

I agree, in principle. However, Blago was the one who tried to sell Obama's senate seat, without Obama's permission, and Obama hung him out to dry.

You don't suppose, just maybe, now that The Boss is out from under this impeachment nonsense, that Blago might have been willing to roll over, for a pardon? You don't become Illinois guv without knowing where a lot of bodies are buried.

The feds learned how to bust the Mob, by finding wiseguys with their goolies in a vise, and told them they would stop turning the handle, if. Why shouldn't it work for Deep Swampers?

I'm just spit-balling, here, but...

"In 2008, then-FBI Director Mueller authorized a totally unnecessary and ruthless predawn raid on then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois. Blagojevich, a Democrat, was arrested in front of his two terrified young daughters."

Mueller is more than a bit evil.

Commuting Blago is the bipartisan forerunner of commuting Manafort, Stone and Flynn. He commutes Democrats and Republicans alike. Hard for the Rats to make the case he’s just doing it for his cronies.

Yet Blago was on his show.

Cronies?

People need to have watched Apprentice to know more what Trump is and is not.

Reading is your friend, and Pardons are given as a Presidential role in the Constitution to be used at his discretion

Neither have been sentenced yet. It's almost a given that President Trump will pardon both of them sooner rather than later if sentenced.
