Oh what fun. Will they sell tickets for admission?
I’ve noticed they have a roped off area outside the store, a queuing line.
The thing that got me, was they closed the garden center. I was trying to sneak in the back door and avoid all the people. But no.
So I went early this morning before there were many people there.
So, now a crowd is going to gather in the parking lot as they wait to get in.
Know way they can keep that many people 6 feet apart.
Started here in Atlanta today. I needed one item. When I saw the line outside (jammed together, of course), I decided I no longer needed the item.
I suggest we all read “How I survived in Venezuela (or Argentina) after the crash” reports.
We order and pay online, make an appointment to pick up and then go pick it up. We wipe down everything when we get home.
Feel the Bern!
Fine. Will spend elsewhere.
You can order here for pickup and delivery. The delivery date is usually in a day. Same prices as in the store. ten dollar delivery fee but worth it imho. This is where you can also do an order for pickup. They have a 2-item limit on most things, however.
Target is also going to start limiting the number of customers inside at any given time.
Home Depot already limits the number.
Best Buy has started “contactless curbside pickup” service.
We’ve been using curbside pickup since all this started. I’ve been to the store once, over two weeks ago, just to get some milk and yogurt right after I got back to Alaska. Today I pick up another order. Either we’ll have a ton of flour or no flour.
I was by there this afternoon.
They have successfully created crowds of people standing outside in the rain.
Got a full, non 404 page not found, link?
Just did a wedding via Zoom...didn’t even have to dress up.
But no free food either.
I walked past the paper aisle and there was an employee stocking toilet paper. I told her that was the first time I have seen tp available in a month. She laughed and said there were two whole trucks of tp delivered and people buy it all immediately.
Almost everything is back in stock, but some sections aren't completely full yet.
This is moronic beyond belief, but “they” have to keep the level of panic and despair amongst the proles as high as possible because Orange Man Bad.
As for shopping on line, that is unsatisfactory because so much is out of stock at any given time, you have to be ready to make alternate selections that the pickers in the store are not capable of doing.
And forget picking and choosing. Say if you want apples, you can be sure you will get the rotten or bruised ones that they would otherwise throw in the trash.
They apparently want bread lines and food riots. At this rate, they might just get them.
My wife and I went to Costco yesterday. It was like any other trip except for two things: They had a sign at the entrance telling you what “hourding items” they were out of (nothing we wanted anyway), and a voice came on the pa incessently telling us not to sneeze on or have sex with other shoppers. So we didn’t.
Oh, and no free samples. I’m not used to leaving costco hungry. :(
