A member of the Kennedy family and her 8-year-old son have been identified Friday as the two boaters who are still missing after vanishing Thursday in Chesapeake Bay. David McKean told the Washington Post that he, his wife Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKean, and their child Gideon Joseph Kennedy McKean had gathered Thursday at her moms home in Shady Side, Maryland. Children there were kicking around a ball in the yard but at one point it went into the water, and his wife and son popped into a canoe to chase it down, he said. They just got farther out than they could handle and couldnt get back in, he added.

Isn’t it usually said the other way around? 2 boaters were identified as members of the Kennedy family?
Gotta get that buzzword “Kennedy” upfront for the LIVs to notice
Who would go after a dam ball in choppy waters? I must be crazy.
Check Gilligan’s Island.
People make foolish decisions, and a family tragedy results.
This family is how rich?
Couldn’t buy another soccer ball?
Seems like the curse of Ted Kennedy. If you are a Kennedy....Do not go near water
Theyd probably gone out and retrieved that soccer ball many times before in the same manner. Split second decision, not thinking about wind driven chop and waves. And they died. Regardless of family connections its a mother and her son were talking about here. Very sad and tragic. So pointless. But many deaths are.
Many years ago I went sailing in the Tidewater area of Norfolk during choppy waters. Got sun burned on my legs so bad I peeled skin twice. Still better than not coming back.
Must have been one hella ball.
Now that’s a suspicious story hubby tells....
Maybe if they had obeyed the governor’s stay at home order? But how could they feel entitled if they had done that?
People are allowed to go out and exercise
Kennedys- cant fly, drive, swim or boat. (the exception being JFK on swimming and boating.)
And somehow, this is news on Fox as opposed to all of the other boating deaths that happened in this world in the last 24 hours.
