I’m not sure chemicalizing my food is an effective option either, but I’m open to suggestions.

You should plan on getting exposed to a small number of virri so your body reacts but you don’t die, it seems exposure to a large number of virus bodies at a time is deadly even to young doctors (the job most likely to be exposed to many)

I thought about that. I could set up a UV box and UV my food. I have a couple of UV lights around here somewhere. LOL

I’m not ready to go to that extreme yet.

I have been doing 170F on my N95 masks for 30 minutes in the oven. Not sure how well the rubber / silicon? bands would do at 200F per this articles recommendation

My son was in the hospital for months with a disease similar to the coronavirus. I talked to infectious disease doctors constantly.

I saw firsthand what it is like when a disease comes along that they don’t know how to fix.

I also saw them struggle with infections that could be easily identified because the medicine that was once effective was no longer working. The body learns to get around antibiotics after awhile.

So I know more about this stuff than the average harelip.

I don’t hide under the bed. Around this house we go about our lives and realize that there are a ton of diseases and germs out there than can kill you.

My cheap earloop mask from Walmart (claims 99% bacterial filtration, says nothing about viruses) sits in the car for a week and then gets reused.

I got a box of 20 but it has to last me and the kids until masks are in good supply again.

But I’m just in and out of a couple of stores once a week.

It says 60c is enough for small loads. But all that aside, I don't eat food from anyone else, i.e. restaurant, and if it comes from the grocery story I don't eat it either for a couple days.

I think 'give it enough time to die before you touch something' is the backup to 'chemically sanitize everything'.

I’m not leaving the house if I get a paper cut. Could be another route of exposure.

No it doesn’t

Saying you find traces of a virus (before or after anything) doesn’t address viral load or whether the virus grows.

This is the same scare tactic as used when they said OMG it spreads through breathing

Then what to do with the study cited in this article :

TITLE: It turns out that, when it comes to the Wuhan flu, sunlight is the best disinfectant

(Excerpt)

As the weather warms. It also turns out his instincts about warm weather were correct. The Wuhan flu, like other coronaviruses, doesn’t like sunlight:

Government tests show sunlight rapidly destroys the CCP virus, according to a Department of Homeland Security science and technology report.

“Sunlight destroys the virus quickly,” the report states.

Researchers simulated sunlight and found it greatly increased the inactivation rate of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, a novel coronavirus that emerged from mainland China last year, on surfaces relative to darkness.

The half-life of the virus was 2 minutes with full solar intensity, or similar to New York City or the District of Columbia during a clear day on summer solstice.

“Sunlight reduced infectious virus to undetectable levels after just 3 minutes of exposure to the solar equivalent of midday sun on a sunny day in the middle latitudes of the U.S.,” researchers wrote.

Half solar intensity killed the virus in 3 minutes while quarter intensity, equivalent to a clear day at the end of February, inactivated it in 4 minutes.

Locking Americans inside as the weather warms is stupid. It’s time to set us free because sunlight is literally the best disinfectant.

No you couldn’t. It is far UV that kills the virus. Very specialized light source needed for that... trust me when I tell you it burns like hell when not we’ll shielded

So setting the masks out on the porch to soak up sun would be as effective as all the elaborate schemes to sterilize them.

The sunlight story is good news.

But I don’t think people being outside, socially distanced in the sun was ever thought to be a big spreader.

The sunlight is not going to cure an infected person. Though it will help as it will boost their vitamin D.

It’s when they all go into the grocery store or work place that it’s spreads.

I think the jury is still out on how much summer is going to help. We saw spread in equatorial countries that already have summer like conditions.

I have germicidal UV lights.

And when I say a light box, I mean a box that doesn’t allow light to escape since it does damage the skin and eyes.

So yes I could.
