Gregg Jarrett: New evidence on Michael Flynn — drop all charges and let him sue his persecutors
Fox News ^ | April 27, 2020 | Gregg Jarrett

Michael Flynn is the victim of one of the worst miscarriages of justice in modern times — an innocent man who was unfairly targeted by the FBI, wrongfully prosecuted by special counsel Robert Mueller, and coerced into a guilty plea under threat.

New court documents finally handed over to Flynn’s lawyer contain exculpatory evidence that has been long sought, yet concealed until now. The charge against him should be dismissed. Then, he should sue the very people and government that persecuted him under the pretext of a legitimate prosecution.

The unvarnished truth is that the retired Army lieutenant general and former National Security Adviser never did anything wrong and committed no crimes. He was set up by unscrupulous FBI officials, then relentlessly pursued by Mueller’s team of overzealous prosecutors who were desperate to show that President Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

Of course, no such conspiracy with Moscow ever existed. It was a fantasy built on the sand of Russian disinformation and lies. The FBI knew it but didn't care. As I wrote in a column as far back as 2018, the FBI lied to Flynn to ensnare him in the crime of making a false statement, even though Flynn did not lie at all about his perfectly legal and appropriate conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

In my 2019 book, "Witch Hunt: The Story Of The Greatest Mass Delusion In American Political History," I laid out the evidence of Flynn’s innocence. Specifically, here is the FBI summary report on the interview of Flynn conducted by two bureau agents, including the notorious Peter Strzok. It is dated July 19, 2017:

The verious investigative agencies can slow walk this and throw up court motions until Flynn dies of old age.

If we had an Attorney General who wasn’t almost completely useless these charges would have been dropped months ago, a formal written apology issued, and the perpetrators facing lifetime prison sentences.

But he’s too busy with his damned bagpipes.

Yeah, but what really SHOULD happen is the DOJ should charge and prosecute the parties involved to the fullest extent of the law.

They broke laws in order to convict a man they knew was innocent, all because they wanted to get the President of the United States. They broke the laws and then hid and withheld evidence that would exonerate him. There's a lot of lawbreaking to unpack here.

They knew they were breaking laws now they should suffer the penalties.

I imagine Comey has a pretty nice house. Though the General would have to do a thurough fumigation when he takes it.

The entire piece is worth reading. It looks like AG Barr is responsible for ordering exculpatory evidence to be turned over.

“If we had an Attorney General who wasn’t almost completely useless these charges would have been dropped months ago”

AG Barr appointed a guy to review the prosecution back in January (St. Louis’s U.S. attorney Jeff Jensen), who just recently delivered the exculpatory info to Flynn’s team. He said there is more.

If that is the case, why does he not tell his goons to drop charges?

So give him a cookie. This crap has been going on since the day he was sworn in. His allowing it to go on this long is inexcusable.

If Criminal charges are not brought against the prosecutors, and anyone involved then another serious injustice will have occurred. If Muller had direct knowledge then he should be charged too.

It’s always tune in tomorrow, tick tock, or Trust Sessions. Now it’s Trust Barr, but nothing happens.

“If we had an Attorney General who wasn’t almost completely useless these charges would have been dropped months ago...”

Kinda sad when the only reason Gen. Flynn is now winning BECAUSE of AG Barr.

It was AG Barr who appointed Jim Jensen, US Attorney out of St. Louis and put in Timothy Shea as US Attorney for DC.

Sad people are so uninformed all you see is this reactionary ignorance.

Oh good sir, you have no appreciation for the finer parts of revenge. To have this evidence come out “naturally” circumvents a need for a pardon or a dismissal, both of which would not exonerate the General in the eyes of the body politic. And if Flynn really wants to re-enter society as an exonerated victim of political foul play then it has to play out with the right kind of style and form.

Not to mention, if there’s going to be payback against the swamp, you don’t bash and stomp like and ogre...you slip an ice pick in when they least expect it. Only show just enough cards to get Flynn out while the remaining cards get played at the appropriate moment.

You want that dumbass judge to eat his words and say “case dismissed with prejudice”. You want that full AG report in the hands his lawsuit lawyer and Durham. You want this to slowly cook out, fat drip by fat drip.
