I agree, but the interesting thing will be what happens the NEXT time something like this comes around? Americans have seen what havoc the lockdown brought. I suspect we won't hear much if there's a Dem in the White House. If there's a Republican, the media will ride the story non-stop again.

Given the lack of spread among protestors, I would recommend the federal $600 unemployment supplements be ended for people under age 50 and states allowed to use the funding for state law programs.

Yes. I think I'm a very calm and stable person. But lately I've been having some trouble adjusting to the world as it is. We are through the looking class -- the Russian collusion, the virus, the economy, the riots -- no one has rational discussions anymore, no one cares about the Truth. We live in a world of lies and I keep hoping that things might change but so far it just gets worse and worse.

Covid is dangerous, yes. So are alligators, but we never destroyed the world economy for alligators or any other disease, some many times more dangerous than Covid.
However the economic damage we know will kill millions in the end. And if you think fear is a good way to control the masses, wait till you see starvation in action.
Covid, hindsight being dead on, has no greater contagious quality, or death rate than the flu.

The worst flu since 2010 (earliest the CDC has breakout statistics for) was 60,000. Average per year from 2010 to now = 37,000. And yes, I know about the 1918 pandemic because it killed my granddad and left my mother an orphan.
The death toll of COVID for children is NOT zero, and it is NOT OK for older people to just be "let die" of it.

I was turned away from a Home Depot yesterday and the county had said that masks, while encouraged, are not mandatory anywhere. The Lowe’s one mile away were happy to show me a lawnmower I’ll be buying Friday.
