I never saw a “gated community” with a wall and walkway gate.
I have a walkway gate and don’t live in a “gated community.”
But who cares...not important.

The best advice I can give is not to put yourself in a position to find out.
But the whole community is private property with signs declaring no trespassing past which the mob of thugs passed by, making them all lawbreakers.
The gate shown broken down was at an entrance to the couple's property, which the mob destroyed (another crime.)
