Conservatives rally around Goya amid calls for boycott over CEO's pro-Trump remarks

A number of prominent conservatives have offered their support for Goya Foods as it faces mass calls for boycott over its CEO's decision to praise President Trump.

On Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted: "Goya is a staple of Cuban food. My grandparents ate Goya black beans twice a day for nearly 90 years. And now the Left is trying to cancel Hispanic culture and silence free speech. #BuyGoya"

President Trump similarly tweeted "I LOVE @GoyaFoods!" amid the backlash. Figures such as former model Chrissie Teigen had advanced the boycott as a way to retaliate against CEO Robert Unanue, who appeared beside Trump at a White House event this week.

"We're all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder," he said. Trump was promoting the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, which is designed to expand educational and economic opportunities for Hispanic-Americans.

While criticizing the boycott, "The View" co-host Meghan McCain warned that it might result in job loss during the difficult economic problems begot by the coronavirus pandemic.

Good job!! I bought a few more cans of chick peas, now there are 18 in my pantry. I love them. And for my next grocery order I will buy some of the Goya items I’ve not yet tried.

Chrissie Teigen is built like a truck. She has a short square torso and big boobs, and I cannot recall if they are silicone or not. So she is definitely not clothes model material. I can’t imagine what else she modeled when she modeled if she modeled.

Between bad plastic surgery and weight gain from a kid, she can no longer do the ingenue look she once had:

I suspect the surgery was a much bigger factor than age or pregnancy.

Chrissie Teigen is one of the most stupid people in Hollywood. And that is saying a lot. Does she and even have a brain?

Best black beans in a can hands down.

I like to make my own, though.

When Chick-Fil-A was run by Truett Cathy, it was a great place to support. Now that it’s run by his BLM-boot-licking son, Dan, not so much. I’m certainly not planning to eat there any time soon.

She actually got attacked by early Cancelers several years back, for expressing the heretical opinion that White yoots making Chinese faces wasn’t really worth having a fit about, IIRC. She’s part Black, part Asian and part White, BTW.

Her recent hateful actions just prove that her elevator doesn’t rise all the way to the top.

She's also a mouthy idiot married to mouthy idiot John Legend. And her head reminds me of a deflating volleyball.

“I looked for Goya at the supermarket yesterday but apparently it’s not an Arizona thing. Or just not a Fry’s thing.”

Probably not a Fry’s thing. I went looking for Goya products at the Fry’s in Prescott Valley and found nothing. The Target in Prescott listed four pages of Goya’s products but a lot of items were sold out. I would have to drive to Peoria or Surprise to pick up the items I need.
