The sign is propaganda placed on the street by Communist Mayor De Blasio. The mayor has no problems with BLM destroying businesses, and attacking the police, but objects to his propaganda being defaced.
What cost more. The businesses destroyed, the injured police, or some smeared paint on his propaganda piece?

Since it is in the street one wonders if you could rig up a car to paint it black as it drove over? Perhaps some kind of chemical that looks yellow but slowly oxides to black so you could be long gone by the time the reaction was complete.

Someone suggested, and it was a good one, that the next people should use yellow paint. It would be harder to repaint the on street graffiti.
