Is it even possible to die from the Bubonic plague with our modern medicines?

I’m pinging the End Times list due to the nature of yet another pestilence from China.
PM me if you wish to be added or removed from the ping list.
The current chaotic state of the world will not subside apparently, but The Lord warned us of those signs.

You may be the most morbid, depressing, gloom and doom person I have ever met :)
Who knows? In person you might be the life of the party.
I’m pretty miserable in person :)
PS Hope the wife is well.
THAT’S real important information.
Still praying
Even though you’re gloom and doom we love ya!

“The World Health Organization (WHO) says it is carefully monitoring a case of bubonic plague in Chinas northern Inner Mongolia region, but says that it is not high risk.”
Put a few dozen on planes and send them to the world’s major cities. That’s high risk, as they did with the Wuhan Red CCP Death Flu.

Bubonic Plague, caused by Yersinia pestis, has been in NM since about 1904. There are a hand full of cases there every year. I don’t like the WHO but they are right in this case. It is nothing to worry about.

Plague is endemic in Mongolia - has been for centuries. They have local quarantines here or there every Summer. The Marmots carry the fleas over there, and Mongols eat the Marmots.

Here on the eastern plains of Colorado, plague pops up occasionally in prairie dog colonies. Carried by the fleas that they carry. When it happens, people are kept away from the colonies until the prairie dogs can be disinfected. This story seems like typical media hype.

New Mexico has a tremendous resource of prairie dogs which is a reservoir of the disease and NM gets a couple of cases every year. It is not a big deal. It is treatable with antibiotics. It is not a Plague in New Mexico. In China, one never knows but maybe it is another weapon and they are working on an antibiotic resistant variety for export, or one that spreads through the air such as the pneumonic variety that was a small part of the ancient world’s bouts with Bubonic Plague. The best way to test that is on the population.

From wikipedia: "Bubonic plague is one of three types of plague caused by bacterium Yersinia pestis.[1] One to seven days after exposure to the bacteria, flu-like symptoms develop.[1] These symptoms include fever, headaches, and vomiting.[1] Swollen and painful lymph nodes occur in the area closest to where the bacteria entered the skin.[2] Occasionally, the swollen lymph nodes may break open.[1] The three types of plague are the result of the route of infection: bubonic plague, septicemic plague, and pneumonic plague.[1] Bubonic plague is mainly spread by infected fleas from small animals.[1] It may also result from exposure to the body fluids from a dead plague-infected animal.[5] In the bubonic form of plague, the bacteria enter through the skin through a flea bite and travel via the lymphatic vessels to a lymph node, causing it to swell.[1] Diagnosis is made by finding the bacteria in the blood, sputum, or fluid from lymph nodes.[1] Prevention is through public health measures such as not handling dead animals in areas where plague is common.[1] Vaccines have not been found to be very useful for plague prevention.[1] Several antibiotics are effective for treatment, including streptomycin, gentamicin, and doxycycline.[3][4] Without treatment, plague results in the death of 30% to 90% of those infected.[1][3] Death, if it occurs, is typically within ten days.[6] With treatment the risk of death is around 10%.[3] Globally between 2010 and 2015 there were 3248 documented cases, which resulted in 584 deaths.[1] The countries with the greatest number of cases are the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, and Peru.[1] The plague was the cause of the Black Death that swept through Asia, Europe, and Africa in the 14th century and killed an estimated 50 million people.[1][7] This was about 25% to 60% of the European population.[1][8] Because the plague killed so many of the working population, wages rose due to the demand for labor.[8] Some historians see this as a turning point in European economic development.[8] The disease was also responsible for the Justinian plague originating in the Eastern Roman Empire in the 6th century CE, as well as the third epidemic affecting China, Mongolia, and India originating in the Yunnan Province in 1855.[9] The term bubonic is derived from the Greek word βουβών, meaning "groin".[10] The term "buboes" is also used to refer to the swollen lymph nodes.[11]"

Although tied to historic pandemics like the Black Death, plague illnesses do still occur around the world and in the United States every year, though they are rare. In the U.S., most plague cases occur in the southwest, including in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, the CDC says.Jul 14, 2020 https://medicalxpress.com/news/2020-07-colorado-squirrel-positive-bubonic-plague.html
