As for football, a satire site claimed that the Steelers would fine any player $1 million who kneeled during the national anthem.
Pittsburgh City Paper:
>>The story is published on dailyworldupdate.us which is labeled clearly as satire for flat earthers, Trumpsters, and yall Qaeda. The headline of the satirical article reads Pittsburgh Steelers Will Fine ANY Player Kneeling For The Anthem $1 Million.
(Pitt. radio host John Steigerwald shared the fake story)
But will there be an anthem? On Aug 10 CBS Sports said:
>>NFL will not hold live national anthem performances in 2020 due to COVID-19, per report. The ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is expected to severely limit, if not eliminate, fan attendance at NFL games during the 2020 season, but fans won’t be the only ones forced to experience game days outside of the stadium.
Me too.
And as of now the Red Sox are dead last in the AL East, 6-13 record (60 game season). How much interest is there for them or any team? The TV and radio networks get to make some money pitching products with this shortened season.
Some think they found a loophole and do it before the anthem now. So that makes it ok. They are mistaken and are still kneeling to Jewish hating Marxists.
Taking a knee once is one time too many. No watching MLB in our home.

I'm (was) a lifelong Yankee fan. Listened to games on the radio when I was a kid. Brought my kids and family friends to games in both old and new stadiums. Had the priviledge of watching players (pitchers) like Mariano Rivera - a class act. I wouldn't step into the Bronx or any part of NYC today.
The disrespect today's players are showing for the nation and flag is unforgivable. I pray all the sport teams, venues and media who allowed or allow players to vent their anti-American and racial bias - go broke!!
Baseball players are superstitious. If they are in a rut, they make a change.
Maybe they could try getting rid of the "Black Lives Matter" banner, and put a "Back the Blue" sign up instead?
A couple of decades ago, that scene would be out of Mel Brooks or Woody Allen.
NHL, which I still love, with players who still respect our Anthem and mostly refuse to take a knee ...
During a recent playoff game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Columbus Blue Jackets, a Blue Jacket player was taken down on a short handed breakaway by a Lightning defenseman ... no penalty called (and the replay showed that a penalty wasn't warranted), but normally in that situation the home crowd would booooo the non-call ... instead, the 'fake crowd noise' cheered as if we were watching a sit-com with canned laughter. Sheesh !!!
Anyone who supports/watches these anti-American, racist over-paid losers is supporting their perfidy. Hopefully, mlb will collapse into oblivion.
Think I read somewhere that Braves organization revenue is down some 95%.
Its a shame....I LOVE the game.
Damn all of them.
[Sorry for your loss.]
A guy in the office and I used to talk baseball all season long. He still comes over to my area, and asks "did you watch that game last night?' Before this year, my answer would have been "yes" practically every night. I don't know why he keeps asking me the question since my answer has been "no" all during the (bogus mini) season. I am sure Golf will follow suit. They definitely run a lot of BLM type commercials.
Then it was the Cards and now you know, supposed to be rescheduled for 21.
Would have loved to see the game with the Sox and Yankees. That seemed to me to be the way it should have been, but now I wouldn't go to the thing if they were giving the tickets away.
Neither the Mets nor the Braves took a knee, and I am still rooting for the Braves. Flame away.
Ps, the Braves organization also did not kowtow to changing their name to be Politically correct.
