Sorry, but I'm having difficulty making sense of your posting.
1. Are you saying that you adopted them as children, and they have now grown into adults, or were they already adults when you adopted them (the adoption of adults is rare, but possible).
2. You say that they "identify" as White. Do the majority of the people around them who see them on a daily basis - friends, colleagues, neighbors - perceive them as White? Or, do you mean "identify" in the same sense as when a 45-year-old man claims that he "identifies" as a 6-year-old girl?
Sorry if my questions seem provocative or sarcastic, but your original statement does contain a few "hairy" assertions requiring clarification.

I listened to the podcast via your URLs. Thanks. And you are correct that the other commenter misrepresented what VDH said. VDH said that SOME blacks are racists. He, in no way, said or implied that all or even a majority of Blacks, are racists.
And that is why no amount of pandering, handouts, reparations or loot from riot looting will ever be enough to bridge the racial divide.
But it wasn't always this bad.
The democrats political strategy of dividing us with identity politics has succeeded beyond their initial intent.
While democrats preached universal equality they were actually teaching blacks to use their race to self-segregate.
They wanted blacks to to learn to identify republicans as their oppressors and hate them, but to love democrats.
However, the racial animosity they fostered has grown to the point it has obviously backfired on them
