Barack Obama memoir to be released in November

Former President Barack Obama will release the first volume of his memoir Nov. 17, two weeks after Election Day.

The 768-page book, “A Promised Land” will cover the 44th president’s historic rise to the White House and first term in office.

“I’ve spent the last few years reflecting on my presidency, and in ‘A Promised Land’ I’ve tried to provide an honest accounting of my presidential campaign and my time in office: the key events and people who shaped it; my take on what I got right and the mistakes I made; and the political, economic, and cultural forces that my team and I had to confront then — and that as a nation we are grappling with still,” Obama said in a statement Thursday.

The book will also touch on the relationships within the Obama family.

“In the book, I’ve also tried to give readers a sense of the personal journey that Michelle and I went through during those years, with all the incredible highs and lows,” Obama said.

Obama hopes the book will inspire its readers.

“And finally, at a time when America is going through such enormous upheaval, the book offers some of my broader thoughts on how we can heal the divisions in our country going forward and make our democracy work for everybody — a task that won’t depend on any single president, but on all of us as engaged citizens,” he said.

768 pages?! Is there one letter per page? Let me guess on how it starts...”As a black man...”?

All public schools will spend our tax dollars to buy at least several books apiece.

I wonder if this book will set a record for the use of the nominative singular pronoun, “I”

Hahaha Obozo’s memoir? I could sum it up in a few words.

First black president was the most corrupt in American history.

The real question is.. Will the be the book set the record for the most instances of “I and ME” ever written?

I can see the reviews now...The first person in history to make even a Roman Caesar appear to be non egotistical.

I-Me-My-We......a record number of times he refers to himself. The book oughta get the Halfrican into Guiness.

Believe it or not, I heard on Fox and Friends this morning that this is Volume I. There is a second volume in the works.

Let me guess on how it starts...”As a black man...”?

More like Steve Martin in The Jerk: "I was born a poor black child..."

This is only volume 1. He left Spygate for Volume 2. That chapter should be a laugh.

Here’s what Barnes & Noble has to say about it:

“President Barack Obama has a story to tell and what a story it is! A writer of genius, his new post-White House memoir, A Promised Land, is THE publishing event of the year. If you haven’t already, you must read his earlier inspirational autobiographies, Dreams from My Father and The Audacity of Hope, to prepare for the upcoming November 17th release date. (This is also the perfect time to re-read Michelle Obama’s Becoming.) Pre-order your copy of A Promised Land today to make sure you’re one of the first to read the book everyone will be talking about!”

OBAMA “I’ve spent the last few years reflecting on my presidency”....and how to exploit it, to get-rich-quick.

It has to be released after the election because it reveals what a jerk Biden is.
