Welcome to identity politics.
In other words a modern form of indentured servitude and serfdom.
END H-1B now!. Frack Sen. Mike Lee!!!!
Try being white and get a job there.
The real issue is Indian hiring managers in US tech firms wont hire white Americans.
END H-1B!!!!
And how do Indian coders look upon the average American? As lower rank?
Did Kamala Harris grow up exposed to ranking, by her Indian mother (a Berkeley grad)?
The don't think about American software developers because there are none in SillyCornhole Alley.
Try being white, have 25+ years experience, and keep your job there. Saw too much of that start around 2006-07.
EWell the silicon valley diversity is a matter mostly of brains. Those there have them. Those not there do not......
If you lack brains, you whine about being untouchable
My experience with Indians is that they definitely look down on all Americans. We’re not as good as they are and they don’t want to associate with us any more than they have to.
You are a real globalist POS.
In 2010, I applied for a telecom opening in Jacksonville, Fl. through monster.com. There were fully 7 companies representing that position. I sent resumes to all 7, 6 of which had Indian recipients.
I got a call 10 mins later (literally) from the only non-indian I sent to.
She turned out to be a drop-dead gorgeous blonde and after a resume review and 3 interviews, I got the job.
I never received a call from the Indians. What this taught me was, Indians will look after Indians, even if you’re a white guy with serious qualifications.
Better be metro
And not only is there a caste system and untouchables, Americans are treated as another caste below untouchables.
My first manager was Indian and he thought it was beneath him to have one on one meetings.
Two years later he was escorted out of the building.
Too bad Intel stopped doing this as their are lots of this type working there now.
Whites are lazy.
My wife’s cousin had to train his Indian replacement back in the late eighties at the electronic engineering company he worked at. Doesn’t look like things will change in the near future.
In the Cold War days, virulently socialist India under the Nehru oligarchy, pushed the concept of "The Third World", consisting of post-colonial, formerly oppressed nations, separating themselves from the First World (West) and Second World (Soviet). I mention this here because it was an ongoing 'Kabuki Theater' show for the UN Ambassador from India to lecture the United States on its Civil Rights sins and battles in the 1960s and later. Due to the 'real politik' of those times, no one would dare to remind that gentleman of his country's own sins!
I recall this being a part of the Allan Drury "Advise & Consent" series of novels as well. FYI: India 'cured' itself of its socialism and, amazingly, its endemic famines in the late 1980s. Pure coincidence there, of course!
