Bail is now set at $2 million for Kyle Rittenhouse who is accused of fatally shooting two men and wounding a third during Jacob Blake riots in Kenosha.

A Wisconsin court commissioner on Monday afternoon set the bail at the first hearing since Lake County sheriff’s deputies handed off the Antioch teen to Kenosha County officers Friday afternoon, Chicago Tribune reported.

Rittenhouse's transfer came immediately after a Lake County judge rejected his defense team's efforts to block his extradition from Illinois to Wisconsin. His lawyers voiced concerns for the 17-year-old's safety in an adult lockup, but the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department stated that he would be held in a cell designated for juvenile detainees at the facility.

I think a $2 million bail is about right. Remember that bail is posted to ensure that the defendant shows up for trial ... and if I were Kyle’s family I would be making plans to skip bail as we speak.

Wisconsin does not have bail bond system, there are no bail bondsmen in the state. It's the full cash amount or equivalent real estate.

Haven't looked recently, but last I saw there was only half a mil or so in the fund.

Kyle Rittenhouse has only his mother for support, no other family has been mentioned. Since any current news appears to have been spiked in the national media, it's up to patriots to give his defense fund any amount they can spare.

A reminder, from the outset Antifa/Black Bloc have issued death threats if he's put in general population while awaiting trial.

I don’t see how an Honest Judge let’s this get past the Arraignment, and if it Does, the US Attorney should immediately Arrest and Charge the DA and the Judge with Deprivation of Rights under color of Law.
