I believe one of the foremost experts on the Constitution will somehow be able to put together a lawsuit that will result in a huge payout and wind up getting the President of Chapman fired or forced out.
These Types of angry revengeful crackdowns are what led to Kristallnacht. Note, I am NOT comparing what we are going through now to that horrible time- however, I am pointing out that the Germans were just looking for any reason whatsoever to slam their boot down on the neck of those they hated.
The left here in the US were just waiting for something, anything, to justify harassing and ruining the lives of conservatives, and they found it in the capitol protests- didn’t matter that antifa did the damage, nope- they are using the protests as their ‘justification’ for ruining the opposition’s lives-
Everyone says “Oh Something that happened in Germany couldn’t ever happen here- people would never go along with it” (and again I am NOT comparing what we are currently going through to what the Jews had to go through at all- just showing that yes, something like that could happen anywhere given the right atmosphere of hatred and tolerance of violence)
But the reality is, many would go along with the Evil purgings if the circumstances were ripe enough for it to happen. Heck- we even have many on the left who were giddy, happy, elated over the Trump supporter who was murdered by antifa- claiming that he ‘brought it on himself”, that ‘He deserved it for supporting such a hateful president” (When in actuality, nothing Trump ever said was hateful- but the left- claiming the fella deserved to be murdered is about as hateful as one can get- the left- masters at projection).
Many on the left cheering old women and men getting assaulted, severely injured, claiming ‘They deserved it for supporting Trump’. The left cheering the fella that was kicked in the head and sent to the hospital by a vicious blm member-
The left cheering when the police got murdered by antfa and blm supporters not just in the last year of riots- but also during the last president’s term when he stoked the flames of hatred, and encouraged that type of violence towards the police and towards individuals in those cities that they also destroyed, burned, looted, and assaulted people, and murdered cops in-

Everyone saying top themselves, so that they can somehow try to justify the horror of it, “Oh well, that’s just the times we live in- nothing can be done about it- can’t upset blm, or antifa”? Isn’t that what Germans said about the German troops that terrorized the nation when the November Pogrom was in play?
What in the HELL is going on in this country? (guess the answer is right there in my question). We are losing all sense of moral decency, and the divide is being cheered on by the left and only the left- We didn’t want this- Yet here it is, in all it’s ugliness! In all it’s glaring sinfulness-
Many on the left are Ugly ugly vicious people right now- and they are just looking for any means necessary, in their minds, to justify exacting revenge on the right- for what? Denying hillary the presidency? Can’t be that, because this violence towards conservatives happened before she ran- So what is it that the left are so angry about? Why are they awaiting a tinder spark? They sure as heck are looking to control everything via force now. Laws, rules and the constitution be damned.

Eastman is not young. He’s not going to another college for a job that he really doesn’t need.
Chapman has become a real leftist sh!thole, smack in the middle of once-conservative Orange County. A young woman I know who has a very good job there can’t wait to leave, the atmosphere for anyone not leftwing is poisonous.
Most people in the US and the world have never heard of Chapman University, but now they will as it represents the suppression of “free speech/First Amendment” and an illogical “guilt by association” of Eastman to the crazy rioters who were over a mile away.
Time for conservative Chapman alumni, if there are any, to stop donating to the university until it reinstated Prof. Eastman, apologizes to him for their Nazi/Communist-like suppression of his “speech rights” and makes financial restitution for any lost wages.
Otherwise, designate them as an “enemy of America”.
Sen. McCarthy DID NOT use “blacklists” to deny due process and civil liberties. Read M. Stanton Evans’ book “”Blacklisted by History” to see updated research information on the McCarthy controversy.
I helped Stan, a professional friend of mine, to understand the origins of one of McCarthy’s “lists” of communists and sympathizers in the US govt after WW2. There was a nuance to that particular list which fell within my area of research/knowledge so I helped him to understand it.
McCarthy was a bastard. No doubt about it, but anyone who appeared before a congressional committee was allowed to have legal counsel with them, to invoke the 5th Amendment (many did on Communist Party orders - as stated by former CPUSA member Herb Romerstein, who later became one of the US government’s top investigators of communism for both state and US govt/Congressional committees).
Much anti-McCarthy accusations and propaganda were created by the CPUSA using both known or covert Party members to spread it around, as well as using leftist/liberal dupes too (Drew Pearson, Jack Anderson - his background is very interesting, Nicholas von Hoffman, Mary McGrory, the ACLU, etc).
Having testified before 4 congressional committees and done several reports for them, I am familiar with the rules/procedures of giving congressional testimony. You had these rights until the Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, House Judiciary Committee and House Committee on Homeland Security recently suspended them for FELLOW MEMBERS OF CONGRESS re asking questions of witnesses, etc, as well as speaking at all. Comrades Pelosi, Nadler, Swalwel and Schiff and others learned their lessons well.

Senator McCarthy promoted blacklisting. As a result, people whose showbiz careers were derailed by the Blacklist. Screenwriter Walter Bernstein; screenwriter Norma Barzman; actor Cliff Carpenter; actress Lee Grant; actress Marsha Hunt; actress Jean Rouverol and actor/producer Kirk Douglas lost their work as a result of the Blacklist. It is this mechanism of the Cancel Culture that is at work today.

McCarthy had nothing to do with the “Red Channels” and American Legion list of communists who we identified before McCarthy’s subcommittee, who took the 5th, etc.
That came out of the entertainment industry who tried to clean up their red-infiltrated unions, SAG (Screen Actors Guild), and SWG (Scene Writers Guild).
Lee Grant was both an identified and admitted CPUSA member. I think Bernstein was too.
Kirk Douglas bragged that he “broke the blacklist” in the mid-50’s. He didn’t lose any work that I know of.
The whole early story on communist activities in Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry is found in the dozens of hearings of the House Committee on Un-American Activities and started in 1947, “Hearings regarding communist infiltration of the motion-picture industry”, Oct. 20th - 30th, 1947 thru 1952. Some in 1953 by city/region such as LA Area (several hearings).
I’ll look up the other names if I can find my hearings and see if they were identified as CPUSA members (before Congress), took the 5th, or were shown NOT to be members of the CPUSA.
Read Morrie Ryskind’s “Hollywood Reds”, not just Victor Navasky’s CPUSA coverup propaganda in “Naming Names”. Robert Vaugh’s thesis/book, “Only Victims” is interesting and from a liberal’s view. Worth reading just to see how much research he did for the book, which I mentioned to him in a conversation about 15 years or so, ago. A very nice gentleman.
There is another book whose title is “Tender Comrades” - McGilligan and Paul Buhle (a Trotskyite historian). A goldmine of how the Communists lied their way through Hollywood internal investigations and even congressional hearings.
The issue of the “blacklist” (the communists had their own before the anti-Communists in Hollywood did, and one of their victims was actor Adolph Majheu. John Wayne saved Ward Bond’s career. I have a letter from Bond to a friend about Charlie Chaplin. It would singe your hair off.

The history of the “blacklist” issue is much more complicated than most think. McCarthy had damned little to do with it, if at all.
Again, McCarthy was a bastard. I am no fan of his. He caused more damage to the legitimate anti-communist cause that he may have done good.
By the way, according to ex CPer Herb Romerstein, the Party coined the term “McCarthyism” despite what other liberals claim.
The official blacklist was created in March 1947 by Harry Truman’s Attorney General under Truman’s authorization (Executive Order 9835), not the recently-elected Senator McCarthy, and it included Nazi and KKK fronts as well as Communist fronts. Senator McCarthy had nothing to do with the Hollywood investigation, which was run by the House and started in 1938 before he was elected. Walter Bernstein sponsored a Soviet front group called the National Council of the Arts, Sciences, and Professions in 1949. Norma Barzman was a Communist Party member from 1943 to 1949. Carpenter got blacklisted after he defended Philip Loeb, who had helped Elia Kazan set up a Communist Party faction within the conservative-oriented Actors Equity Association in 1934. Lee Grant was blacklisted after defending J. Edward Bromberg, whom Kazan had named as a Communist Party member. Marsha Hunt was a member of a Communist Party front group called the Committee for the First Amendment, which duped a large number of actors. Rouverol and her husband joined the Communist Party in 1943; she and Carpenter later lived together. Kirk Douglas was brought to Hollywood with the help of Lauren Bacall, who along with Bogart was a member of the aforementioned Committee for the First Amendment. Bogart had been told there were no Communists on the Committee, and was outraged to learn he had been lied to; he and Bacall then denounced the group. In contrast, Douglas throughout his career remained close to Communist Party members and fellow travelers like Stanley Kramer (partner of Communist Party member Carl Foreman, whom Kramer broke off from after Foreman threatened to name him to HUAC as a CP member, falsely according to Kramer) and Dalton Trumbo.
