Snowy conditions are not keeping thousands of National Guard troops from protecting the Capitol, and neither are unanswered questions about whether officials have detected plans for a possible repeat of right-wing extremist violence.
Some Guard members have grumbled to reporters that they do not know why they remain in Washington, away from their day jobs and families, even as some units are heading home.
“We currently have just over 7,000 soldiers and airmen assigned to the National Guard mission in Washington, D.C., and we remain on track to draw down to 5,000 through mid-March,” D.C. National Guard spokesman Capt. Tinashe Machona confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Monday.

Coups are accompanied bu troops offupying the capital and taking control of radio and teleision, shutting down newspapers. The actions against Communications are unnecessary in that they have been under control of the revolutionaries for decades.

The idea is to make it look like troops are needed to protect the Capitol from an ongoing threat from right wing Trump supporters who are gathering to storm the Capitol and take Pelosi captive. It’s all a show to convince the gullible that the United States is threatened by domestic terrorists aided and abetted by Trump and his cult followers.
Invocation of the Insurrection Act is not necessary to bring in the Guard. It would authorize the use of the formal military the actual military. Leftists of all types from libs to radical commies fear the formal military, though. that seems a silly reason not to use them since ninety five per cent of them voted for Biden in the election, at least they were counted that way.

So many questions. Why can’t you seem to figure out an answer? My opinion is that the military is running a limited martial law under its own command. They are carrying out whatever plan they and Trump decided on. Trump is on vacation and not commanding anybody.
The military is in charge of DC, the border, maintaining National security and carrying out domestic operations that are not being reported in the MSM. At some point after the impeachment or whatever you want to call it Trump will be returning as the rightful President. That is what I think is going on. Many others disagree. Time will tell.

If the NG is expecting a bunch or Right Ringers, maybe Trump should have another rally in D.C. Make it a “Thanks to the Troops” thing. Everybody has to bring a hot dish of food and a blanket to hand out to the troops.
I know you know this, but they are under the command of the State Governors who sent them there - these are National Guard troops. Even if under the fantasy scenario that the “military is in charge” and martial law in effect, it would not be state National Guard troops being sent to Washington DC. It makes zero sense to begin with to suggest the military is doing this, and makes even less sense to suggest it would be the State Governors who are doing it with their own troops. Clueless on top of clueless by those who are making these claims.
