I didn't say to ban ICE, I wrote That does make sense. Electric cars are improving by leaps and bounds. Perhaps some pickups will be hybrid in 2030, and definitely commercial vehicles. But ordinary cars for most will not be ICE

"for most".

There will of course be exceptions.

If automakers are going to go all electric and that supposedly makes sense, where do consumers who want an engine and not a motor go to buy a car?

Just checked. Most recent numbers I could find were for 2019, number of vehicles Volvo sold in the US was between 100,000 and 109,000.

And that, apparently was a good year.

Okay, they can go electric with my blessing.

Who’d notice?
