The Normandy fleet dwarfed this Chinese one. The Germans didn’t know the invasion fleet was coming. And the Germans didn’t have much of a Navy by 1944. The Germans were convinced that the invasion would happen at the Pas-de-Calais and had their main forces there. The Germans had mostly poor troops (like the PLA today) in France. Yet it was still a near run thing. The Chinese won’t enjoy any of the advantages that Allies had.
A successful invasion of Taiwan is not a done deal. Don’t fall for CCP propaganda. They are trying to get the West to give up without a fight.

Actually, I think China will just be patient and wait for the pro-unification party to gain power in Taiwan. I think the red carpet will be rolled out for the CCP.

The only good threat is one that you will actually do. And if the Chinese think Taiwan will knock out the damn, they will think twice about attacking.
You can include most of the GOPE in this ownership along with our intelligence community. They know the CCP is our main threat and that Trump was engaging them and yet they rigged the election for BiteMe who is a CCP butt boy. Right now the US military is being infiltrated by the CCP at the upper command staff level and they will not suggest a fight with their good friends in Peking.
The CCP’s neighbors should be highly concerned at this point Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea and Japan etc... If we were smart we would put a permanent allied fleet in the South China Sea and poke the CCP in the eye from Indonesia to the northern Sea of Japan. This fleet serves as a trip wire, it lets the CCP know we don’t recognize their territorial claims and it offers a military response to any Chinese aggression-if we are willing to use it.
If the CCP decides to take Taiwan and we offer any resistance they will hit Guam, Okinawa, Diego Garcia and any other US facility they think can mount a defense or an offensive operation against them, also we will be hit with a cyber attack in critical areas with threats of massive attacks on the US mainland systems. BiteMe will probably apologize for us being there and we cut and run with our tails tucked. I can’t see the current US military joint chiefs fighting back against anyone except evil conservative insurrectionists.
