Bring back the MX Peacekeeper.
Because they want to brag that they hired the best and brightest woke intersectional people that were trying real hard!
I'm sure he meant range. Don't you miss the days when there were editors?
Ping!
If you tell them the launch is at such and such a date, time and location, and it doesn’t go off they will know anyways................
Even that would be 40 year old technology.
In this case range/radius it is acceptable..............
There was a screw up, and the way you cover your butt is you say the matter is “under investigation.”
“Colonel! Why did your missle lauch screw up?!”
“We’re holding an investigation on just that! We’ll keep you informed!”
Pretty hard to hide.
Old missile, probably not maintained. Just like a lot of our nukes.
So you can yell "Psych" at any idiots launching anything thinking you're helpless forgetting about all the SLBM's in range pointed at them.
Maybe they didn’t have enough manic-depressive, intersectional Latinas working on the project.
Not enough black transmen working on the project.
Cuz that’s the MO of the POS occupying the White House.
Need more transgendered cowbell..................
They have to shut down the Union Pacific railroad line for hours, costing the Air Force something like a million dollars a day. Having the railroad shut down and not seeing a launch which is visible from a thousand miles away is a tip off. Back in the day, they used to delay launches to let Russian spy ships get on station. We *wanted* the Russians to see them.
As a former Minuteman avionics test design engineer, this SICKENS me. A doddering, corrupt empire can’t even launch an ICBM anymore. They should put SpaceX in charge of the Minuteman fleet. But they won’t. They want our nuclear deterrent destroyed. May the corrupt cities of America BURN in Chinese nuclear fire. We deserve every last MIRV bomb.
“There was a screw up”
There was not necessarily a screw up. This is not a live missile carrying warheads. This is a missile taken out a silo and the warheads are replaced with experimental warheads that contains perhaps a few hundred experiments. Any one of those experiments could have caused an abort. Happens all the time. I know, I was a telemetry chief in this program.
You gotta make sure it’s in “park” before you turn the keys. Otherwise it won’t start.
That’s the first thing I thought of too. Along with launches, they need to work on their accuracy. (Unless it is a REALLY big warhead!)
Back in the day, that is why the Soviets had bigger warheads than ours - their accuracy sucked. (And their translations still do!)
