Well, the one photo I did see of the reported noose actually looked like a noose. And it was tied high enough to have needed a ladder or others lift to put it in place. Certainly wasn’t a girly-man’s garage pull.

I’ve always heard no noose is good noose.
When in junior high every loose piece of cord had noose in it. It had nothing to lynching anyone. It was just cool to tie a hangman’s knot.
If I used a light piece of rope to tie a hangman’s knot and then suspend it from my rear view mirror would ghat be a hate crime? Don’t think so.

I saw a photo in a previous story, and the knot did in fact look like a noose. I would think it's pretty easy to see someone on CCTV doing it.
