A 10-year-old Miami boy was shot after his father took him on a faux drive-by shooting with a paintball gun — and a frightened homeowner returned fire with real bullets, according to authorities.
Michael Williams, 26, allegedly gave in to his son’s pleas late Sunday to take him on a paintball “drive-by shooting,” where police said the boy fired off the unlethal rounds into a crowd gathered in the front yard of an Opa-locka home, the Miami Herald reported.

The boy didn’t die.
Dr. Laura Schlessinger was correct in most cases when she referred to the male of the story under scrutiny as ‘the sperm donor’.
Conversely most of the women in these sorts of stories are little more than government subsidized baby machines

I know the solution, but I can't say it.
“unlethal rounds” ... If one of these paintballs hits you in the head at speed, it can indeed be lethal.
We live in an era where we no longer protect children from danger or from themselves.
I don’t see anything wrong here, kudos to this father who cares enough to train his young son in the family business.

No additional details on the child’s injuries or condition were released. Williams drove the child home and his mother called 911, according to police.

My sons and I play paintball and Airsoft on a pretty regular basis. I have an AR style, magazine fed, paintball gun which looks exactly like a real rifle and when fired, sounds like a suppressed weapon. I can see how the gent thought he was under attack and I don’t blame him one itty-bitty bit for returning fire.
I would NEVER in a million years think about doing this with my sons. Ever.

Same three words said three different ways with three different meanings. The ultimate point being that as human beings, we move away from pain (hurt) and that is how we learn our lessons.
One of these three was often said to me as a kid when I had done something ... less than intelligent and came in the house bleeding and or crying. I used to think that my dad was a bit of an ass for saying that to me. Now that I am a dad, I understand the wisdom in those words.
