Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said his optimism on a bipartisan infrastructure bill was “short-lived” following President Joe Biden’s remarks that he would consider vetoing the bill if it doesn’t include a sweeping reconciliation package.
His comments came shortly after Biden endorsed the bipartisan deal to spend $1.2 trillion over eight years before stating that “If only one comes to me, this is the only one that comes to me, I’m not signing it“
McConnell accused Biden of “caving” to the far left following the bipartisan breakthrough and offering mixed messaging on the matter.

Biden praised the infrastructure deal....but said he won’t sign it unless they can undo the 2017 tax braks. I think it’s called....blackmail.
and not a single word that Biden is threatening Americans with nuclear weapons.
Turtle is almost as brain dead as Biden.
Pure posturing by Ditch.
He appointed a panel of 5 of the worst assistant ‘Rats to “negotiate”.
What did he expect? [Plausible Deniability]
My amateur analysis: The bribe the RHINOS were promised are large enough that even though they were double crossed they will now concede to get the payoff they have already mentally added to their bank accounts.

Bait and switch and the GOP went for it? They should have had a news conference after Biden's calling Joe on the Big Lie.
He played those RINO bustards like a freaking fiddle. Would it be too much to hope that they are PO’ed enough to say the deal is off? (stupid question. Idiots like Romney would only respond “thank you sir, may I have another?”)
So Biden agreed to a deal without all the pork, but it has to be tied to another bill which has all the pork the first one leaves out. Got it. Yeah, Joe, no.
It would be the right thing for the coward GOP to do.
Mitch, how about you and most Republican senators caving to the far left all the time? Time to grow a set, retire or be replaced.
I’ve read the article and fortunately Mitch doesn’t use the phrase “mixed messages” that appears in the headline. If he did, he’d be even more stupid than I thought. It’s dishonest betrayal. Here they get the usual suspect to give the GOP base the middle finger—- again—- and then they cut the rinos off at the knees. When will the GOP learn than bargaining with the rats is like kissing a pit bull on the lips: it might turn out to be nice, but a lot more likely to turn out badly
China Mitch spends nearly all his time war gaming how to dupe the GOP base. Now the GOP give Biden a victory on infrastructure so the Dems will be free to ram through everything else via reconciliation. The GOP wants the reconciliation spending but not their finger prints on it lest the GOP voters notice their collusion with Marxist Democrats.
They got rolled, again.
GOP is useless...at the federal Level...
There is no hope for them...
It is time to change the name...Workers Party or something

That’s what the OGP wants, too. This is all beltway theater.
Mixed messages??? These are democrats. Anywhere else, it is called lying.

Are you aware of the blood curdling roar of a box turtle? Me neither.
McConnell did a press conference and did everything short of calling Biden a political prostitute.
